Feast Your Eyes On A New, Creepy Fatal Frame Japanese Trailer

Nintendo of Japan has uploaded a brand new overview trailer for Fatal Frame: The Black-Haired Shrine Maiden. Currently exclusive to Japan, the survival horror game’s four-and-a-half minute trailer introduces players to the main characters, the trickster ghosts, and the Wii U GamePad camera feature. We don’t want to spoil the creepy atmosphere, so make sure you check out the video embedded above.

Aside from the trailer, Nintendo has also begun advertising the upcoming horror game by releasing two new TV commercials, showcasing the GamePad’s features. Both advertisements are similar and can be found in Nintendo’s playlist, here. Fatal Frame will arrive for the Nintendo Wii U on September 27 for Japan. It’s not yet known whether the game will be released for western audiences.

      1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

Not that I say it is a good game, I mean it looks good but horror games are not really my cup of tea.

I just mean it has monsters, and the Japanese people are crazy for anything with monsters.

I believe it stems from their ancestors belief in yokai and mythical monsters.

              1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

Most monsters do consist of dead being, Frankenstein’s Monster, mummies, Zombies, Vampires, Demons etc

      1. Did Project Zero sold well in USA or EU ? I assume those info will have an impact on Yes of No this will be worth selling on eShop for exemple.

        1. I have never actually seen project zero 2 (wii) in european stores so propably not. Project Zero games would propably sell a lot better as eshop only title. Resellers doesn’t know what whole game is about.

  1. This seriously needs to release outside of Japan, this looks amazing, apart from Resident Evil: Revelations the Wii U doesn’t have any more horror games, the system needs more just like the Wii which had quite a few.
Plus this’ll be a good alternative to the PS4’s Silent Hills / P.T., though that still looks amazing, will be getting that as well once I get a PS4 and it’s released.

  2. Yes! Yes! Yes! The game will use the Gamepad as the camera! This also gives me hope for Pokemon Snap 2 also using the Gamepad as a camera if they even make a Pokemon Snap 2.

Anyway, please release this outside of Japan, Nintendo! Especially if 3rd parties are going to be cheap!
