Popular US retailer GameStop has given us a glimpse at the colourful official box-art for Splatoon. Sadly it’s not very high-resolution, but it should give you a good idea of how it will look when the game ships this May. Are you a fan of the design or do you wish they had chosen something else?

Yup, to much mess, and the game might be all about making a mess, when as good ad half of your boxart is made of two colors, you are overdoing it… Here’s to hoping Europe will get a nicer one!

The box-art should have been a solo image of the female inkling from splatoon doing a cute pose while being shot by white paint. Either that or a picture of an Xbot smoking weed with the caption : “Fuck this casual shit.” In the corner of the box would be a small picture of Miyamoto flipping teh bird. Both of these would prove to be smart marketing strategies as they appeal to the targeted audience.

Why not? The game looks like it has a decent amount of content. I’m pretty sure it’ll end up being a full priced game.
I supposed I never factored all the content in. I’m not much of an online player (although I will be with this) so just seeing a single player campaign mode for $60 seemed like a lot for me. But Nintendo rarely disappoints so it’ll be worth it.
back when we thought it was only online multiplayer, like Titanfall mind you, a full priced game, maybe a lower price is justified, but now we know that this is really a fully-fleshed out new ip.

God im really in love with everything around this game, im a huge shooters fan because of the gameplay but im not a fun of the artistic design in most of them except from the one of xiii, killer7 or team fortress 2, but this one is absolutely pretty its seems fun just to watch it!! I want a poster with the art though!
Nintendo you need to release an special splatoon wiiu edition painted in lots of colors with steins of otjer colors!! :D
This is one of those games I don’t know if I’ll like unless I actually play it. It’s definitely not the kind of game I normally buy.

I don’t really like how in the game, and now on the art, it just looks really… not sure how to put it. The whole style of paint everywhere makes it kinda hard to see the surroundings.
I love how the game is gonna be honestly….just dont like the box art..and wished nintendo would have made the characters a little more better…to me they look like something out of pixar..in which for pixar….i trully hate
