Understandably the pressure of developing Super Smash Bros for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U has take its toll on its creator, Masahiro Sakurai. Famed for saying that he won’t make another Smash Bros game again, he took to his column in Weekly Famitsu to once again say that development has understandably been tough. However, he does admit that he’s very lucky to work on such a popular franchise.
Hello, Mr. Sakurai. It sounds like development of Smash Bros. was really, really hard. Reading your column sent shivers up my spine. I’ve never seen you so worn out. It made me appreciate the new Smash Bros. more than ever.”
“It was very tough this time around… I doubt I’ll be able to go on making games if it continues like this. But, I consider myself lucky that so many people seem to enjoy [Smash Bros.]”

Agreed. Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and uper Smash Bros for Wii U were okay but I expected a lot more. And more than anything I HAAAAAAAAAAAATE the menu layouts in these two games. Same thing with Kid Icarus: Uprising. They make me hate Sakurai as a person of this was his “vision”.
The menu designs are made by Sakurai’s wife, and I love them. It follows these standards since Kirby Air Ride.

Sakurai ALWAYS says that he makes games as if it was the last one, he made the same discuss for Brawl and Kid Icarus.
It’s one of the major reasons for leaving HAL Laboratory back in 2003, Sakurai hates working with sequels, he only accepts to make new Smash games because it’s his more popular creation, it’s essentially the only reason of why people remember him. Pretty sad, actually, but I still am a fan of this guy, because I love his creative processes.
No he does this series because he like another director working on it and possible destroying what made the game fun

Lol. Kia sold the Kia Soul since 2009. Consumers been asking for an AWD soul since 2011. Unlike Nintendo stil stubburn on bringing Gamecube games to the Wii U, Kia has an AWD Soul concept prepared for 2015 Chicago Auto Show. Im sure unlike Nintendo, this AWD sould is made for 2017 models not 2015 models like the 2017 Nissan Juke, New Honda HR-V and all new Mazda CX-3. Kia knows making the AWD Soul just a little bit more powerful than the 2015 Nissan Juke and Suburu Forester is stupid because it wouldn’t sell. Hmmm Maybe KIa Motors should give Nintendo tips about how to make future hardware competitive.
He got a disease in his hand from working too hard and still conitnued making smash for wii u and 3ds and during melee he worked for 13 momths straight with little time on weekends or holidays because he wanted to keep producing the game and got little sleep in between shifts about 2-4 hours of it. Dark Pit, Lucina, and Dr. Mario are all there because they’re entirely extra, just something they had a little extra time to do, because those characters took the least amount of time. And it was either them or nothing at all and NO, don’t say you’d “rather have nothing”, because you’d still ask for more.

Ideally he WILL step down and let someone with fresher ideas manage the series from now on, his zealous hoarding of the franchise damaged the quality of the last two iterations.
Of course he’s most probably just being his usual drama queen self and milking this for all the pity it’s worth, expect to see another game with his name pasted on it in a couple of years, when the crocodile tears well dries and he has to work for recognition once again before devoting another two or three years to garnering pity.
I strongly agree with this. His interviews are all incredibly egotistical and scream of a person who is unable to properly manage a team or lead a product. Any lead worth their salt understands that you need to learn to delegate, and grow your team to be competent so you aren’t the one guy on a team of 300+ developers that everything depends on. It’s ridiculous for him to think that he is the only one who has the ability to handle responsibilities of development.
I can’t wait until the unveiling of the AWD Kia Soul Concept. I can’t wait to hear what features it will have. Im sure it is aimed for 2018 models. Kia has future products because they hear their consumers. In 2014, Kia’s YTD sales rosed. How, because they used common sense, they ADVERTISED, thought about the future, and wasn’t cheap putting more money down on making and adding features….. Nintendo. If Kia was a video game company, they would have added a console powerful enough to handle 4 gamepads and work beyond 25ft away and not needing to buy a Y Port for the external hard drive.
Oh and Peter Schyryer is responsible for designing the Optima, Soul, Sorento and Sportage. All 4 won design awards including the Kia GT Concept. Unlike Sakuri bitch ass, Peter isn’t bout to bill out on Kia Motors and im sure Peter worked as hard for Kia as Sakuri weak ass worked for Nintendo. Peter Scyryer is responsible for desiging the original Audi TT. Peter is working on a 2018 Kia GT as we speak. The Kia GT will be ready to tackle the 2018 Audi A7 and BMW 7 series and Lexus LS. I hope Nintendo is ready to use Fusion up against the PS5. Also Peter’s 2017 Kia Optima is currenty on Spy shots. Schyrer knows products need changes and upgrades because competitors like the Malibu, Fusion, Camry makes constant changes to….unlike Nintendo.

I’d like to thank Sakurai Masahiro for creating Super Smash Bros. With that said, I’ll be happy when he’s no longer involved in the series as he does hog up most of the work & apparently refuses to delegate to the rest of his team. Not to mention his utter refusal to give us a true fucking Ganondorf. Oh & his failure to better support the Metroid franchise. Like giving us only recolors to represent the Dark, Light, & Fusion Suits. Not to mention no Ridley. Hell! They could have taken Ridley’s second stage in Other M & made that a playable character with the Final Smash turning him into his final form, the form that’s been in previous Metroid games, similar to how Bowser can turn into Giga Bowser. Personally, I’d love to be able to play as both Ridley AND Dark Samus if given the chance. Then there is the lack of alternate outfits for other characters, too.
