That is why I’m going telling people to be careful of this. Most of these will probably be cancelled just like before. Stores assume they’re getting more in only to get none or very few.
I know first hand, I wen’t for midnight release (absolutely nothing anyway not even copies of MH4 and MM) and I was at Target this morning. Nintendo isn’t sending out a shit worth of shipments. People think it’s demand, but like I’ve said it is because the supply is extremely low.
That is why this stuff is selling out within minutes, just like with the damn amiibos.
My local target only had about 15 NN3DSXL in stock so yes you’re completely right, I don’t know what Nintendo is trying to do with this.
The Target I went to only had 10, and only 5 copies of MH4 and 5 copies of MM.
Even worse, I just opened mine as I was getting ready to system transfer and my face buttons are defected with tiny cracked lines. :( So there goes enjoying the New 3DS today, no sense in doing a transfer now when I’m just going to return it. They must’ve molded them wrong or something cause each button has a faint crack on the A,B,X,Y. Oddly enough each crack line is facing in the same direction as the d-pad is but on my face buttons.
I waited outside this morning for it too… Sigh. Called Target about it, they said they don’t know when more will come in and apparently many of the trucks carrying them were cancelled or some crap. So I don’t know what’s going on with that.
Heading out to return it soon… So freaking bummed right now. I’ll be spending hours on the phone praying one store somewhere has some extra black ones.
Other than the damn face button being cracked, it is really nice. I really like the new black though, it has this carbon like finish to it, it’s almost metallic in color also, which is cool.

Not really. They would only get more money if Nintendo gave them more stock to sell. As it is, the U.S will sell out the product all on our own.
Be realistic people, if Gamestop didn’t even have extra to sell for midnight launch, not even copies of the games in some cities like mine. What makes you think, they’d have a lot to sell online or any for that matter?
So glad I didn’t pre-order this. Yes, it was a pain waiting outside of Target but I could be one of the people who had their pre-orders cancelled, and are now stuck with nothing.
I second this. I waited at target all night and was the first one there. I spent over 12 hours at a chance at 2. I now hold that glory in my hand. If you guys wanted it that bad, why did you think you could go only an hour or 2 early, knowing the supply was going to be low? I roughed it out and now i have my prize.. some of us were just more devoted in getting it.
Some people actually have a life which doesn’t allow them to spend the whole night outside a target, you know?
We camped out… Second in line; Target got two but sold one to employee before the store opened! So jacked! Now everyone’s scalping. Oh how I LOATHE scalpers. Wish we had the $ to pre-order several w/intent of selling at cost to people who missed out, at least keeping a few out of the hands of scalpers…
I was able to order 1 at around 10:30am from the website. I was thinking it must be a mistake but figured it wouldn’t hurt to try. I got a shipping confirmation at 10:00pm. So yeah this was legit. The probably had a stock for the online only department. Im supper happy!
Well if I can’t secure this Ill just hold out for the xenoblade bundle that hopefully will come out

When its not the intended audience buying them, there’s no real demand, but rather a supply issue on behalf of a bunch of idiots trying to make a quick buck off of desperate would be victims.
Umm, actually, a lot of GameStop employees didn’t know about this bundle. It was only available online. And it was NOT available online in store (WIS).
Some of us roughed it out all night. Not a couple of hours. I was there for 12 and now i hold 1 of 2 copies. Some of us just wanted it more than others. I didnt see people showing up until like 6. You snooze you lose. And in this case alot of you did. Just saying

Some of us waited and then found out our Target didn’t get any in store today. Also had Best Buy pre-ordered cancelled and today my Target online order I placed this morning when they became available was also cancelled. Very happy that you were able to get your copy. Sometimes it isn’t do to lack of effort or “snoozing”… Enjoy your system….
That’s why you need to call the night before and ask if they got any in – myself and the other 2 people in line with me this morning did that and verified that they had 4-5 units at the store.
I did call yesterday went to the store lasy night.. They wouldn’t tell anyone anything. There were 10 other people waiting this morning as well because they couldn’t get any information and were hoping. . I was second but they didn’t get any… So not sure what else I could have done… Just not my day, glad it was for others….

Gotta say something about this. In my country (Holland) the MMNN3DSXl bundle with MM preinstalled was sold out almost immediately after the Direct. Stores promised a second run. On friggin the 31st of March. Luckily, I preordered it at a store, where many people do not know you can preorder stuff. When I arrived at the store they said they ordered 20 bundles, as 20 external people actually put their name on the preorder list. They actually received 7. A whopping 6 of them were scooped up by internal preorders, as those people knew about the upcoming release and are responsible for the preorder list. I was number 1 on the ‘normal’ list and number 7 on the ‘adjusted’ list. I only tried that store, because every other one was sold out. I feel those employees should be ashamed of themselves and their antics. Moving themselves up the list is ridiculous. Also, some of us have jobs or have classes (like me) to attend to and don’t have the time to camp out or watch every news item. My classes were the reason I missed out on the Direct and therefore missed out on the bundle in principle. Camping out does not make you more entitled to a thing, or make other people ‘snooze’, as some responsibilities can not be evaded or set aside simply to purchase a luxury item. I, therefore, feel very lucky to have been able to buy a bundle and I feel that people who have been able to pick it up in this thread should be more gracious about it, because aforementioned reason. At any rate, I wish everyone who does not have the bundle the best of luck and everyone who has it a good time. (Also attending my classes resulted in a midterm average score of 86% :D)
