Bandai Namco has uploaded an all new four-minute Pokken Tournament trailer for fans to feast their eyes on. Due to release in Japanese arcades this summer, the upcoming fighter will star a number of playable Pokemon, including the recently revealed Pikachu, Gardevoir and Suicune. The trailer, which can be seen in the video embedded above, shows off the game’s features such as support Pokemon, alternative colour renders for the fighting Pokemon, along with various stages. It also features an upgrade system with “passports” to seemingly buff your fighter’s stats.
Aside from the Pokken Tournament Japanese stream which took place last month, the trailer above is the first good look at the arcade title’s gameplay. Though it hasn’t been announced for western arcades just yet, the summer release is looming for Japan, so hopefully we’ll hear news from Bandai Namco and Game Freak soon.

when first revealed, they showed Blaziken whom wasn’t in the trailer showing that there are more characters in the game. They didn’t even show the support characters in this trailer.
The arcade isn’t even out yet meaning that they will add much more. And usually when games like street fighter come out on consoles, they later have an update that’s specifically an arcade edition meaning they will add stuff on the wii u game that wouldnt even be on the arcade. So you can still have hope.

Ya I wouldn’t worry about the character roster until this game comes to Wii U. Namco still adds more characters after the games debut in arcades, especially tekken.

The game looks awesome and very fun. I also was worried about the size of the fighter roster but then I realized that are so many Pokèmon characters that would suitable for this type of game that maybe they couldn’t fit all of them into this trailer. So to those who are concerned about the roster, don’t be because I’m pretty with Namco Bandai being the developer that this game will have a massive amount of fighters to choose from
