Check Out New Mario Party 10 Footage In Four-Minute Japanese Trailer

Nintendo Japan has uploaded lots of new footage showcasing Mario Party 10 on Wii U. The four-minute trailer takes us through the vast number of boards available in classic party mode, as well as the Bowser mode – which can be used exclusively via the Wii U’s GamePad – and Amiibo party mode.

And given Bowser’s the supreme star of the show in the latest party title, he’s even joined a family of five in a new Japanese advertisement, which you can view here. Count your lucky mini stars he’s not on your sofa, sneakily gorging on all the party refreshments, and obnoxiously taking up all the room. No one likes a double dipper, unless it’s the roller-coaster kind.

Mario Party 10 will be available to purchase for Wii U on March 20 in North America and Europe. The Super Mario Collection amiibo range – including Toad and alternate versions of the Mario cast – will also see a simultaneous release with the game, and can be pre-ordered at various retailers.

    1. Depends on the game. If it’s a text-heavy game like Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Xenoblade, they have to hire more people and localization takes longer too. But MP10 isn’t really what you would call a text heavy game…

      1. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

Because it’s just as fun being competitive on the board as it is on mini-games…

I don’t know how much fun I had against my cyborg brother and the AI in MP2 when I or they sabotaged each other on passages etc etc on the boards, you can’t do such things in these hippie cattle modes…

    1. I totally agree. The fact that you only drive together with a rotating driver is just annoying …
You have less minigames and is simply less fun, at least for me and my friends.

      1. idk just cuz your riding together doesn’t mean your working together that’s bowser mode but mario party mode it looks competitive to me and my friends and i had a blast on MP9 because its still mario party idk why u guys are complaining about NSMB being a rehash series when you guys are literary asking for a rehash game that has the old formula :T

  1. Nope. Mario Party is forever ruined. Cart gameplay = bullshit plus far less fun and no online play means it’s still refusing to give itself REAL change for the better. In short, Mario Party sucks ass now.

      1. More of a tool for sharing video game blogs and tips which is kinda ironic because that’s exactly what people are doing on YouTube and everywhere else without the BS tight ass restrictions and Nintendo still has a problem with that before and after.

  2. I’ll be buying this to try out the new car mechanic, and even if I don’t like it there’s still amiibo party and those glorious minigames. I am a little cautious with the formula change, but as a lover of MP I think I can get over it. And for you guys who don’t mind spoilers you can go to mariopartylegacy.com and see all the characters are the official JP Mario Party 10 site. The games look great!

  3. Why didn’t Nintendo poll before they made this game if they should have kept carts or bring back the old style. I know the old style will outweigh the cart by a landslide…….. But of course Nintendo isn’t smart.

  4. IDK I was having some buyers remorse after I pre ordered it but it actually looks like a lot of fun, Bowser mode looks like nothing we’ve seen before in a MP game.

  5. Still getting it. Still going to play it. Still going to enjoy it. From the bit I played last year, I enjoyed it. I’m sure I’ll like the full product too. I always have fun playing Mario Party with friends.

  6. unfortunately I will pass that one to (play mario party kart 9 once and never touch it again…). if it was not for the cart thing I would have bought it. Maybe the solo mode will be a DLC…..

  7. I can’t even believe what I’m seeing. Doesn’t Nintendo EVER take a hint? Don’t they ever listen to complaints, reviews and gamer feedback? Why the HELL did they put that god-awful cart thingy back? That’s what destroyed Mario Party 9 and actually made me hate it. Now I’m tempted to cancel my pre-order. This series has gone to the dogs. Or…..to the koopas. I’m SO depressed.
