Azure Striker Gunvolt Update, 3DS Theme & Demo Version Arriving For North America On March 5

Inti Creates has announced the update for Azure Striker Gunvolt on the Nintendo 3DS will be arriving later this week for North America. Fans will be able to download the 1.2 version update, which features a new boss rush mission, New Nintendo 3DS support and a brand new Lumen song, slightly earlier than Japan on March 5. But the update’s not the only new item on the cards from Inti Creates, as an additional 3DS home theme and demo version will surface on the same day.

The 3DS home theme, which you can see above, features the seven Sumeragi boss characters from the game on the upper screen, with some beautiful evening city scenery on the lower screen. Plus, the action-packed boss battle theme “Sumeragi Skirmish” will play in the background, with the theme available for the usual $1.49.

For those who have yet to purchase Azure Striker Gunvolt, a new demo will arrive on March 5. Featuring a special bonus for fans who go on to buy the full version, the demo will also contain various materials and in-game currency to get you started. Unfortunately, the title is yet to arrive in Europe but Inti Creates states the update will be available immediately on purchase when Azure Striker Gunvolt releases.

  1. Don’t get me wrong; I’ve been eyeing the Sumeragi Skirmish theme for months on the Nintendo JPN site. But this does bring up a question: what of the eight variants of the Lumen theme that the US didn’t get? They look so nice.

  2. A very fun platformer. This coming from someone who does not like platformers. ;D (not as epic as Shovel Knight;) )

    1. Really? I’m not a platforming girl myself unless it’s a Nintendo title, so it must have been pretty good. Maybe I’ll make a double take on it.
