If you live in the United States then you might be pleased to know that Six Flags will begin running Monster Hunter themed rides. The new ride is themed on Six Flags Goliath rollercoaster ride which is located on Six Flags Magic Mountain. The ride has been revamped to be based on Gore Magala which is the monster on the cover of the well-received Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. You can visit the ride now and it will be up and running until August 10th. If you pop along you can also play a demo of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, if you so wish.

sickr – Can you please ban this guy? He’s using this has free advertising for his bootleg shirts :P
Hell yeah!
Yeah no. I got tricked into going on the road runner express. No loops he said. No loops my ass.
LOOOOOL!
Cool I guess. I love rollercoasters, but I don’t think the Six Flags near me got the new ride so oh well.
I recently went to the Wild Adventures amusement park (after mainly only going to theme parks like Universal and Disney World), and it felt so generic compared to the other theme parks… Not just because of it not having licenses for certain things, but because there’s just NO creativity in any of the rides, as they’ve practically all been done the exact same way before… Six Flags is a little better, but with the licenses BUT still the uncreative design… I guess I’m just spoiled by the epicness of Universal
I haven’t been to Universal Studios before and Disney World is like a every four years type of thing, so it doesn’t bother me. I go to Six Flags to have fun with my family, make memories, eat carnival sweets, and to enjoy a thrill, so even if I go yearly there’s something new I take back home with me every time.
ssc no no
…Why?
Well I guess this is a good form of advertising… Being that it’s not “in your face, buy right now!” Type of advertising, but more of a “Oh yeah, if you like the theme of this ride, there’s a game about it… And there’s a demo right next to this ride… *stares intently at customer, and customer goes to play demo*”. Idk just my thoughts…
That’s awesome! I’m going to be heading to California soon and was already planning on going to Six Flags! This is going to be amazing!
Rode it yesterday. They did a surprisingly good job with the theming, and of course Goliath is fun as it is.
A key aspect missing from this article us all the other stuff. There are setups of Camps on the way to the ride, and little shops like in the game as well with cool super real looking props and the whole bit. The statue from Pax is also there, as well as the caravan that already did a bit of touring earlier on. Probably some of the best game advertising I’ve seen in years. Capcom knows their shit when it comes to MH stuff. Just take a look at Universal Studios Japan as a good example.
