Oh yes! Baby Park from Mario Kart: Double Dash on the GameCube and Neo Bowser City from Mario Kart 7 will be included in the next batch of Mario Kart 8 DLC for Wii U. The news was confirmed today via Nintendo of Japan who released the two trailers you can watch on the blog. It’s got to be said that Baby Park looks lovely and will be a hoot to ride around on in the 200CC mode.

They make no sense to you, but I when I sit and play this game with my 4 year old nephew he refuses to play as anything but the baby characters and wants me to play as a baby character next to him. Baby Mario is all he’ll play as. He doesn’t want want to play Mario Party because he can’t choose a baby character. Understand that this is a game for EVERYONE, from 4 year olds to the hard core adult. Stop being so selfish

The problem with all the baby characters is that they should have gone to other characters more deserving of a spot- characters who have done things in/for the series, like Bowser Jr., E. Gadd, Diddy Kong, etc. We did NOT need 5/6/however many babies there are- Baby Mario and Baby Luigi would have been enough.
People say Waluigi was the most useless character who didn’t need to be created. I disagree- that spot as of now goes to Baby Daisy/Baby Rosalina.

BTW, it seems the track was kinda ruined by having gates in the center. The OG level had no gates, thus allowing shells and other items to pass.
They need a shell killer in mk8, way too many shells already.

How long will Nintendo keep milking the same game? I suppose that’s all they know how to do, since Mario Kart 8 was one of their few big hits on Wii U. And I doubt there’s going to be any more BIG hits until the new Zelda. Unless a new Animal Crossing for Wii U comes out. And no, Star Fox doesn’t count.

I haven’t played Mario Kart 8 in almost a year. It was the first time I got tired of a Mario Kart game before winning the gold trophy on every cup. Good game, but I got sick of it (and playing online was no fun whatsoever). So, I just can’t understand how people can still find so much fun in the game. Even with DLC, it’s not really enough for me to want to return and play again.
I forgot to mention, I accidentally deleted my save file for Mario Kart 8. So that’s another reason I never returned to it. I didn’t want to play all the same cups and courses all over again.

If you Mario Kart at all, then it’s inconcievable that you got bored with Mario Kart 8, considering it brings some of the best the series has ever seen.
I would keep buying these DLC packs. Mario Kart 8 is just that much fun to me. Also, a DLC pack with more modes (including battle), as seems to be suggested frequently, would be cool, too.
If they continue to do another DLC pack, I’m hoping for Kirby!

Not at all. The items are much better balanced and much less luck based than any other game in the series I think, or at least recent games.

HELL YES to getting coins out (of item rotation).
I had one online race where I got ONE banana, and every other time I just got coins. It was like the game forced me to place 12th.
Ever see F-Zero GX’s story mode chapter 3 where Silver Neelsen screams “WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS ONE COIN!!?!?” That’s what I felt over the course of that race.

I would love to see DD’s team mechanic come back. I would win tournaments in DD at my local Game Crazy when that was still a thing; still got one of the winner’s hoodies though it’s too small for me now. DD was AMAZING, but imo, it’s not the best. MKWii is still my favorite MK.

Now this is what I can agree on. Their whole supposed “Fair” one item yet getting a star while 2nd place, coins on 1st, and normal standard mushrooms while last place is mediocre.
