Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack 2 And 200cc Out Today

It’s finally here! It’s April 23rd and you should all be sitting down to spend the day completing the new DLC pack for Mario Kart 8 and getting accustomed to the B button in 200cc. If you haven’t bought the second DLC pack, here’s a reminder of everything it includes (and why you should buy it):

Courses

  • Animal Crossing– the seasons of the track change every time you play.
  • Big Blue– remaster of an F-Zero race track.
  • Super Bell Subway– race while trying to avoid the trains!
  • Wild Woods– race through a tree trunk avoiding Toads and Shy Guys.
  • Baby Park– remastered from Mario Kart: Double Dash.
  • Cheese Land– remastered from Mario Kart Super Circuit.
  • Koopa City / Neo Bowser City– remastered from Mario Kart 7.
  • Ribbon Road– remastered from Mario Kart Super Circuit.

Characters

  • Villager (Boy and Girl)
  • Isabelle
  • Dry Bowser

Vehicles

  • Bone Rattler (ATV)
  • City Tripper (bike)
  • The Streetle (kart)
  • P-Wing (kart)

There will also be nine Mii racing suits available through Amiibo including: Wario, Bowser, Pac-Man, Sonic, Olimar, Toad, Mega Man, Rosalina, and Villager. And you can enjoy all this in the immensity of 200cc. Well, I know what I’m doing for the rest of my day! What do you think of the DLC pack 2? What’s your favourite part about it?

    1. It took a while for me before the update downloaded. I think it started when I turned of my console, and it looked for updates while in sleep mode.

  1. Most excited for new boards and added amiibo support as I have all those besides the yet to be released ones. If I didn’t play hooky on 4/20 I’d go home now and play all day lol.

  2. Is 200 cc only available on certain modes or tracks? I got the DLC as well as the new Amiibo slots, but I don’t see 200cc when I start a race.

    1. for a 200cc grand prix you have to get gold in all 150cc cups, its available immediately in VS race or online

      1. It all looks great.. except I feel a little awkward about having support for amiibos that won’t be out for 1-3 months.

We have to wait over a month for Wario and Pac-Mac (even though it seems Germany already has Wave 4
Amiibos for sale) and who knows how long we have to wait for Olimar.

So happy that 200C was developed. I always thought Mario Kart got “slow” rather quickly. I just hope the CPU players are harder.

  3. The Animal Crossing level is my favourite thing about it :) It’s so detailed! I got to play in each Season too! XD My video is half rendered. Another couple of hours to go :/ haha Sickr I plan on making a speed comparison video if you don’t mind sticking it up online today please? It’s incredible the difference of each speed!

              1. I own 2 – the one I used for this is the Elgato HD 60. I think in total cost about 160 euro. I also own the AverMedia Live Gamer Portable which cost about 150 euro in total if I’m correct. Both great quality! The LGP only does 30fps in full hd.

                1. I'm a Boss Ass Bitch

Yeah I try to but I don’t have enough time and I can’t find a decent capture card. Your videos are good and crystal clear.

  4. The CPU players have gotten harder to beat. They take more shortcuts than they previously did. The Easter eggs in Ribbon Road are too numerous to count. Hoping for another DLC pack around Christmas, with Diddy, Olimar, and Birdo, plus Coconut Mall and Delfino Square!!
