Inazuma Eleven GO: Light And Shadow Release For 3DS In Australia & New Zealand On July 18

Nintendo of Australia has announced Inazuma Eleven GO: Light and its counterpart Shadow will release for the region this summer. The Level-5 RPG title arrived in Europe last year for the Nintendo 3DS but, following a lengthy wait, fans of the series in both Australia and New Zealand can kick off in style with the football focused game on July 18.

Since the series’ arrival in 2008, Inazuma Eleven has shipped more than 7 million copies worldwide. And that’s not the only milestone Level-5 is celebrating, as it also marks the first physical release of the game on retail shelves in Australia and New Zealand. For those unfamiliar with the sports RPG, feel free to watch the trailer embedded above, or you can read our review published last year. The latest games entitled Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stones: Wildfire and Thunderflash were released for the Nintendo 3DS back in March for Europe.

  1. Can someone tell me whats so great about the inazuma eleven series that makes it more than just another soccer game?

    1. You can look at basically any Inazuma Eleven video and see how different it is XD There are special elemental moves, fighting spirits and so many great characters. mixing football with the Rpg style is an incredible idea, so you don’t even have to like the sport to enjoy the games.

      1. No, shifty games like this makes true fans just disappointed. Why do we even need a soccer game when the fans have been waiting for Mother and Mother 3 FOR YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        1. Because this game has a following of fans too? This is the fourth game in the series. There are five out in the UK. Of course they’re going to finish releasing the whole series first, it only makes sense that they finish translating all six games xP

        2. Because this series also has a following of fans? This series has six games in it, all of which are brilliant, so they’re obviously going to translate all six. No need to get butthurt just because this series is doing well. I doubt it even has much to do with the fact that Mother 3 hasn’t arrived yet. Even then, fans of the Inazuma Eleven series also have to wait years for the games to be released, because not enough people give them credit, and the games are just overlooked by people who pass them off as ‘shifty’ when they are incredible.
