Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice Is Coming To Japan As Sonic Toon: Fire & Ice

Despite the initial reveal, Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice should hopefully shape up to be a much better game than its predecessor, Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal. We know that the developers Sanzaru are currently taking fan feedback onboard as well as taking in the critical bashing that the last game received. Sega announced today that Sonic Boom Fire & Ice will also be coming to Japan, but it will be named Sonic Toon: Fire & Ice. You may remember that the original Sonic Boom was renamed Sonic Toon in Japan, so it’s not surprising it has retained its name. You can watch a new trailer for Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, below.

    1. Because they voted with their wallets. No one but very few idiots bought this crap and the same will happen with Federation. But in retrospect, everyone already knew Sonic keeps coming and fucking it up. Metroid however, after waiting for 5-6 years, witness that party favor garbage and got so furious (after they’re already sour about Other M) that they made a petition out of sheer anger. Most Metroid fans are more passionate than Sonic and Sonic has been fucking up for over 10 years.

  1. They said they were listening to fan criticism, and trying to make it more like a classic Sonic game.
Looks like the same horseshit as last year’s game to me.

  2. Hatred aside, this actually looks much closer to the Rush/Classic style. Might be decent.
