Indie developer GalaxyTrail has announced that Freedom Planet is now scheduled to release on August 13 in the Nintendo eShop for Wii U. The game was initially set to launch yesterday, August 3. Those who played the preview version of the game during the Nindies@Home program in June will get 15 percent off the price at launch. Freedom Planet pits a spunky dragonoid and her friends against an alien attack force.

Cool.
Can’t wait, game looks super cool and I’ve been itching for a fast-paced 2D action platformer
All the nindies@home games were cool.
Hey thats my birthday!
Lol my friends also and mine is the 14th xD
Alright! A better game then most of the sonic games in the past 10 years finally
Aw, I was gonna buy it tomorrow with EO2U.
I finally get another game about a purple dragon! In all seriousness, it looks like a great mix of Sonic the Hedgehog and Gunstar Heroes.
it was heavily inspired by both of those series
I beat it, I think it is very fun.
Looks cool. Might buy it.
However, the character art looks a bit amateur. Can’t complain much though since it’s indie, I guess.
The game was made on a 25k budget.
I REALLY hope they make a sequel to this game! I believe freedom planet is so good, that it has the potential to be its own franchise. Then, U can finally say, “screw you sega! Freedom planet offers better sonic games than you!”
It’s Sonic 2 and Gunstar Heroes, my two favorite games on Genesis (I call Mega Drive, since I’m brazillian) merged into a single game and its own universe! Can’t wait to play!
I want this game!!! Looks super good!
