Freedom Planet Gets A New Release Date For Wii U

freedom_planet_release_dateIndie developer GalaxyTrail has announced that Freedom Planet is now scheduled to release on August 13 in the Nintendo eShop for Wii U. 1. I finally get another game about a purple dragon! In all seriousness, it looks like a great mix of Sonic the Hedgehog and Gunstar Heroes.

  2. Looks cool. Might buy it.

However, the character art looks a bit amateur. Can’t complain much though since it’s indie, I guess.

  3. I REALLY hope they make a sequel to this game! I believe freedom planet is so good, that it has the potential to be its own franchise. Then, U can finally say, “screw you sega! Freedom planet offers better sonic games than you!”

  4. It’s Sonic 2 and Gunstar Heroes, my two favorite games on Genesis (I call Mega Drive, since I’m brazillian) merged into a single game and its own universe! Can’t wait to play!
