There have been a few announcements surrounding retailer exclusive amiibo over the past few days – Toys R Us in the US recently announced that they will be getting a restock of the Villager amiibo, which was followed closely by a further announcement that the Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibo will also be exclusive to their stores.
This time, Best Buy have announced on Twitter that in Canada they will have exclusivity of the upcoming Lottie amiibo from the Animal Crossing series. Lottie is one of eight Animal Crossing amiibo due for release, but is the only one that has been announced as a store exclusive so far. If you live in Canada, you can pre-order yours now on the Best Buy website.

What a weird decision. I mean, I doubt she’ll be hard to find at all, if she’s stocked like all the most recent exclusives have been, but it still seems odd that only Canada would have that exclusivity.
Just when you think Nintendo was improving on their mistakes, this happens. 1 step forward, 2 steps back.
