As previously confirmed, the Mario-themed Monopoly set is now on it’s way and listed on the official website as “coming soon”. USAopoly will be producing the 8-bit style set that is complete with eight tokens in the style of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, a Super Mushroom and the 1-up Mushroom.
On top of the 8-bit style map and Mario-themed tokens, custom Goal Poles and Castles will replace the traditional Houses and Hotels from the original Monopoly board, and the currency is in the form of notes with amounts of coins on. Take a look at the set in the pictures below:
Although the Zelda Monopoly board has a set date of September 15th, and the Pokemon Kanto board is arriving in August, the Mario Monopoly board release date is yet to be announced.

I saw that Mario chess board on there too. Looks pretty cool. I’d really like to see a LoZ edition of chess. I’d buy that in a heartbeat

I think they just had a general Nintendo-related version of the game. They might have also had a “modern” Mario version.
There was never a Monopoly game based solely on Super Mario Bros. But one that featured multiple Nintendo characters.
Speaking of Monopoly, I really should get that Zelda Edition of Monopoly.
Pretty bad reviews due to lack of detail, but still on my wish list either way. I’ll probably get the Nintendo themed one first.

So basically it’s Mario Party in board game form. I wonder how many more friendships will be broken now.

Daisy and Waluigi (and Wario, among others) didn’t exist in Super Mario Bros. This is only based on the original Super Mario Bros. on NES.
Bowser should have had a character, but that’s OK. This version is so sick looking, so old school.

There’s a Monopoly board for everything lol. My cousin brought a Game of Thrones one up last month :P I’m all for that Pokémon one, though <3
Well, looks like another Monopoly board game has entered my most wanted list. Right above the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Monopoly ( based on the 1987 cartoon). My only wish is that these weren’t so freakin’ expensive.

Those other two Monopoly sets have release dates because they’re already out :P Why were those included?
Everytime I see a Monopoly set I want a new one comes out. I don’t even like Monopoly but I have about 20 sets I wanna buy. They look nice and once in a while with the right amount of people and alcohol it can be fun.
