All The Footage In Zelda: Breath Of The Wild’s E3 Trailer Is Of Aonuma Playing The Game

Here’s a little-known fact about the E3 2016 trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. All of the footage captured for the promo is of series producer Eiji Aonuma playing the game. This tidbit was revealed by Nintendo of America’s Bill Trinen during an interview with YouTuber Katie Wilson. “The trailer for Breath of the Wild – all that footage is actually Aonuma-san himself playing the game,” Trinen said. Aonuma recently explained why he decided that Link should be a gender-neutral character.

  1. I wish we’d seen him playing throughout Nintendo’s hours upon hours of BotW footage. I remember seeing this one girl who was doing terrible in a dungeon, it just made me wish I was the one playing instead.

    1. That’s what I was talking about the other day! You find something you want to read about, while trying to avoid this gender crap in gaming, but every gaming article just tries to force it in your face at every turn!

    2. They are recalling the last time they talked about Aonuma, they always do this kind of things, but somehow I feel it out of place this time, too :P

  2. Nintendo should launch a mini channel for purly Zelda games only and have Aonuma and that Nate guy from the localization team ( sorry I’m bad with remembering ) and have them play Zelda and every week give out FAQs. I think it would get us excited for the game. They could also have guest appearances and they don’t have to only play breath of the wild. Maybe an event focused on Hyrule warriors.
