  1. Terrible sales for Xenoblade. 120k and selling less than 20k per week. Or japanese don’t like RPG anymore or…
Nice resurgence for PS4 (the Pro overtaking the standard!) but Switch is just on a swing.

    1. Also notice that Kirby Battle Royale was surpassing it

I watched some gameplay video and the game isn’t so bad but all of that voices during a battle is… quite annoying

    2. Xenoblade has already sold over 100k so I think it’s fair. Also, the franchise isn’t as loved as other Nintendo IP so I think it will take a while before it gets some cult following. I also think it doesn’t help that each new Xenoblade game is completely different from the last… No continuity so there’s hardly any grounds for a persistent community

      1. Well, it’s not a new IP like ARMS, and it’s an RPG. I don’t think it’s a success for a first party game. So highly publicized also. It’s a typical japanese RPG that should be more palatable for japanese than western people.

      2. I don’t know, the appeal of Xenoblade 2 is that it’s a JRPG through and through, if anything the audience that should be all over it is Japan. If it’s selling this little on Japan of all places, a market characteristic for their adoration of RPGs, I have to wonder just how little it must be selling worldwide.

  2. Decent hold for Xenoblade 2. I was hoping for 40k on second week, but what can you do. Should be over Xenoblade X’s LT numbers by the end of December. Here’s what that launch month looked like:

    Week Weekly
    1 86,574
    2 11,626
    3 4,236
    4 2,545

For a little perspective: 97 and 20k for the first two weeks is more total units than X sold in it’s first three months.
