Japan: GoldenEye 007’s Servers Shutting Down On March 30th 2018

After seven years Nintendo has decided to shut down the online multiplayer servers for GoldenEye 007 on the Wii. They will be closing in Japan on March 30th 2018. There will be no multiplayer starting from exactly at 10am JST on March 30th. It’s not clear if Nintendo and Activision are planning the same thing for the west so we shall have to wait and see. Siliconera speculates that the reason GoldenEye 007 could still be online despite the Nintendo WiFi Connection being shut down is due to its dedicated servers.

    1. Me either but what about Legends? I still have no idea WTF that game is or what it offers. I don’t even know if it’s online or not.
