Square Enix Considering Secret Of Mana Remake And Seiken Densetsu Collection In English For Switch

While nothing is confirmed, Square Enix’s Masaru Oyamada has told US Gamer that the established company would be interested in releasing the forthcoming Secret of Mana remake and the Seiken Densetsu Collection in English for the Nintendo Switch. Masaru Oyamada says while it’s not planned it’s something that the team will look into.

On The Secret of Mana remake:

“So, the voices are heard, we’re aware that people are desiring a Switch version, and we will make an effort to see what is feasible in the future, though nothing is confirmed or planned.”

On The Seiken Densetsu Collection:

“Obviously, our focus is on Secret of Mana since we’re in the last part of its development, so obviously it’s hard to definitely say that yes, we will release it,” he says. “But we’ve obviously heard a lot of demands and requests for that game to be released in the west, and that’s something we will do our best to hopefully achieve, but nothing at this moment in time.”

  1. Not interested in that ugly remake but yes please for the collection. Probably less likely though as they’d have to go to the effort of translating 3

  2. I already have the remake preordered on PC, so I’m not at interested in a Switch port for it. That being said. I will instantly buy the SoM collection on any platform if they release it in English. Please make this happy Squenix.

      1. Except for the fact Square Enix has never actually stopped supporting Nintendo. Could their support have been better before the Switch? Sure but it’s not like they’ve utterly kicked Nintendo in the nuts & ran away to never be seen again on their systems.
