Along with the news that Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima is stepping down as Nintendo president it has also been announced that Nintendo Europe president Satoru Shibata is also stepping down from his position. Shibata will join the Nintendo Co. Ltd board of directors.

Very interesting news nonetheless. I’ve never heard of Shibata before, but am interested in hearing from both him and Nintendo on the change. I figured Kimishima was going to be treated as an interim president, but did not expect this change so soon, for better or worse. I guess we’ll see what happens!
