Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze mysteriously disappeared the other day from the Nintendo eShop on Wii U. Some were speculating this move was done in order to encourage customers to purchase the upcoming Nintendo Switch version of the game, which arrives this Friday. However, you can rest assured that this was not the case as the platformer is back up on the Wii U eShop; you can purchase it right now for $19.99. Nintendo has yet to comment on its brief period of unavailability, but stay tuned for any updates.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Returns To The Wii U eShop

In the US it is still not back up on the eshop. I just checked myself, this is a false report.
Actually, it is back up in Europe according to some players
It was never down in Europe, just the US.
Oof
It never went down anywhere else so I think this isn’t just trying to encourage the Switch version. If they really cared that much they would’ve done the same with Mario Kart and Hyrule Warriors.
Another load of people getting upset over nothing.
I’m still pretty upset it’s $60.
Sony paid Nintendo to take it down and put it back up. It’s all part of the plan. Sony will eventually control everything you love. Next step: total global saturation.
Sony paying Nintendo to undermine their own shit! That’s… That’s boss! lol
