Unreal Engine 4: Niagara Effects Supported On Nintendo Switch

The latest version of Unreal Engine 4 is now with developers. Those building their games on the Nintendo Switch with the flexible game engine will be pleased to hear it now supports Niagara Effects. There’s plenty of other optimisation options added to Unreal Engine 4 and you can read about the changes here.

“In our continuing effort to provide industry-leading effects tools, Niagara has received an expanded feature set, substantial quality of life improvements, and Niagara effects are now supported on Nintendo Switch!”

“The Niagara Editor is one of two tools you can use to create and adjust visual effects inside Unreal Engine 4 (UE4). Before Niagara, the primary way to create and edit visual effects in UE4 was to use Cascade. While Niagara does have many of the same of particle manipulation methods that Cascade offers, the manner in which you interact and build visual effects with Niagara is vastly different.”

    1. tht and less performance requirement due to this needing less power to achieve the same thing as Cascade. So future games tht make onto the Switch tht uses it will get higher performance returns.
