The latest boxed UK charts have arrived and FIFA 22 remains king in the United Kingdom and most of Europe. On the Nintendo Switch side of things Mario Kart 8 Deluxe saw a 12% sales increase bumping the popular game up to No.3 this week and sadly Metroid Dread falls from No.3 with a 58% drop in sales. Those of you wondering where Dying Light: Platinum Edition ended up on the Nintendo Switch will be slightly dishearten to learn that it arrived at No.32. Here’s the GfK top ten for the week ending 3rd October, 2021:
Last Week | This Week | Title |
---|---|---|
1 | 1 | FIFA 22 |
2 | 2 | Far Cry 6 |
5 | 3 | Mario Kart 8: Deluxe |
7 | 4 | Animal Crossing: New Horizons |
7 | 5 | Minecraft |
New Entry | 6 | The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes |
3 | 7 | Metroid Dread |
9 | 8 | Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury |
6 | 9 | Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales |
10 | 10 | Grand Theft Auto 5 |
This game is an absolute sales juggernaut! Came out in early 2017 and is STILL high up on the charts all these years later.
I can’t really blame Nintendo for wanting to port so many Wii U games to the Switch after how ridiculously successful this game has been.
It’s good for Nintendo, but not good for us fans who bought the game when it first arrived on wii u, we’re left waiting for sales to drop before we can get our hands on the next instalment
At this rate, there’ll be more sold copies of MK8D that Switches.
