Sonic Frontiers director says 2nd update adding Spin Dash, hopes Chao Garden can be considered for next game

The very first update for Sonic Frontiers came out last month, but attention is already turning towards the next update, which is expected to release in the next few months. There was also a leak recently suggesting that Sonic’s iconic Spin Dash move was coming to the game. Well, Sonic Frontiers director Morio Kishimoto has confirmed on his Twitter account that the leak is true, and that Sonic will be able to Spin Dash in the next update.

Meanwhile, he also had something to say about the next main Sonic game. Kishimoto revealed that a Chao Garden had been considered many times during the production of Sonic Frontiers, but it just hasn’t been able to happen. However, he does say that he hopes that, if things are promising enough, they can really consider including a Chao Garden in the next game. You can see a tweet relaying the news down below.

  1. SEGA does know that people actually want Chao World (Neutral Garden, Hero Garden, Dark Garden, Chao Kindergarden, Chao Race, and Chao Karate), complete with the Chao A-Life, attribute, and alignment system from Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, right?

People ask for this all the time, yet no one ever addresses the specifics of the “Chao Garden”. Simply put, fans aren’t talking about a small mock-up Chao Garden (like the ones from Minecraft or Sonic Speed Simulator).

    1. I hope they bring back characters such as the Freedom Fighters. Even if they are not playable, include them as story characters or npcs in a village that can send Sonic on quests.

    2. I’m fully convinced if they ever do another one it’s going to be gutted in one way or another, and then you’ll have a bunch of people who don’t get it and say people are just being ungrateful.

  2. At least someone from Sonic Team mentions the Chao Garden. Let the Chao Garden returns. I want it back so badly. I hope he officially consider it in one of the future Sonic games.😩

  3. They could also release Chaos Garden on the current as paid DLC, did they ever think of that? Why next game? They’ve been putting it off for years, it’s time they made an actual Chao Garden.
