Nintendo Switch has now sold 141.32 million units worldwide

Nintendo has confirmed this morning to investors that the Nintendo Switch family of systems have now sold 141.32 million units worldwide since launching in March 2017. It has still some way to go to beat Sony’s ultra-popular PlayStation 2 console which sold 160 million units, according to now former PlayStation president, Jim Ryan.

  1. Unbelievable achievement. For a system of this age that has barely seen a drop in price since launch.
    Curious to see there strategy for Switch 2. I still think there will be a market for Sw1 and Nintendo will just do a high price drop to get additional buyers.
    Either way, Nintendo have played a blinder.

Still conflicted if i like this console or not, absolutely fucking awful controllers and the online was worth it at their last years, but god damnit if it wasn’t awesome to bring that bad boy on every party and playing smash bros and duck game with my buddies, an amazing concept that was awfully executed. I REALLY hope the next console is a switch successor cause if they don’t fuck it up it’s probably going to be my dream console
