No Man’s Sky adding cross-save support

Hello Games is working on a feature for No Man’s Sky that will allow players to carry their save data across platforms.

The feature was revealed as part of the latest update, which saw a new ship- The Normandy from Mass Effect- be added to the game.

A beta test for it is currently underway, but all players will gain access to cross-save functionality in the “coming weeks.”

Once fully implemented, those on Nintendo Switch will be able to continue their playthroughs on another system should they wish to.

    1. It wouldn’t eliminate the need for those systems, it would mean people want the ability to hop between platforms with that same save file. Granted not everyone wants to do that and just migrate their saves from one platform to the one they want to stick with.

  1. I think this could also mean if the game comes to Switch 2, we could see people on Switch being able to port their saves over to the Switch 2 version, which is really good.
