It was recently revealed that the newly released Donkey Kong Country Returns HD doesn’t fully credit the individual developers who worked on the original version of the game for the Wii. Instead, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD end credits simply say “based on the work of the original development staff” and then continues to credit the new team at Forever Entertainment. Eurogamer reached out to Nintendo to provide a statement regarding its crediting policy and was told the following:
“We believe in giving proper credit for anyone involved in making or contributing to a game’s creation, and value the contributions that all staff make during the development process.”

I get giving credit where it’s due but do you want the end credits to become as long as Oppenheimer?
coincidentally the girl who voiced samus in other m had a role in that movie.
@lmao?
I did not know that. To be fair the movie was hard to watch but I did enjoyed it though I wasn’t really paying attention to who played who other than the main two cast.
Poor Jessica didn’t deserve the backlash for other m, some metroid fans who recognized her already congratulated her for that achievement.
Yes. Mighty No. 9 is the floor target, not the ceiling.
Then patch the thing, Nintendo & Forever.
Of course you won’t. You don’t really care, and neither did Forever by botching the visuals.
They didn’t botch the visuals just because they didn’t include some minor graphical effects that you wouldn’t have noticed if some YouTubers didn’t pause the screen and zoom in.
Those who got involved or help out in the development of movie or games always deserve that.
They did credit them.
I’m still baffled that people are outraged for the full list of names to show up that they never planned on reading. I’d like to see if there’s a single person from the Retro credits that is upset about this. It’s manufactured outrage, if no one is.
@CFG
“It’s manufactured outrage”
That’s exactly what it is.
Well f*ken credit em’ then
Then stop wasting oxygen and get on and do it!
