Nintendo has said multiple times that it plans to grow its beloved franchises outside of gaming and that movies are just one avenue the Kyoto-based company is taking. We have had the Super Mario Bros. Movie and up next are The Legend of Zelda live action movie and the Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Next up it seems Nintendo is gearing up for a Donkey Kong animated movie, that’s according to movie insider DanielRPK. It should be noted that this is just a rumour at present and Nintendo has yet to confirm anything.

I hope they will go for a more complex story than the Mario movie, I trust illumination that they can make something good.
You’ll get the opposite Seth Rogen not only voicing Donkey Kong but also producing and writing it. He and his buddies should be in jail they all do what James Franco does.
Old news. Also Daniel RPK has a horrible track record dude said KH4 would show years ago never did, he said a Marvel NRS game was being made also wrong, among a bunch of other things. Rogen is producing and writing the DK movie so it sounds bad add his voice too.
Punch Out and Starfox would both be great animated movies, hopefully Metroid will be live action like Zelda.
Oh right, DanielRPK, the one that spread a false rumor that turned out to be the most MANUFACTURED IdPol drama to surface online, especially towards a very consumerist video game fanbase that’s too prone to fandom drama.
I don’t want to hear it, the DK movie production is a no brainer and already rumored, this is clearly the “i need to repair my bad reputation” phase of the fraudulent insider where useful idiots will believe them again.
It’s bad enough because I’m interested with experimental actor takes on certain characters (remember the female actress that played Link in the ALttP commercial? Cool, do something like that again), but having to go online and see endless flamewars from both sides until Nintendo confirms anything and giving the actress the worst migraines to develop after seeing that shit show.
Honestly one of the worse insiders to even report anything from. I wish Ryan and Zippo didn’t fumble so much, they’re not yapping half-correct to real rumors anymore.
I’m also surprised Nintendo didn’t file a lawsuit for spreading misinformation.
To assure nobody gets lost, the actress im referring to was the once rumored Hunter Schafer.
Hunter would have been a good pick for Twilight Princess inspired Live Action Zelda.
