One of Nintendo’s current initiatives is creating more kiosks to advertise games

Many of you in the United States will be familiar with the Nintendo Switch 2 demo kiosks which are a prime way for Nintendo to get its stellar lineup of games in front of consumers. The latest game to be added to the in-store kiosks is Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. In the recent financial report the Kyoto-based company said it is doubling down on its initiative of creating new consumer touchpoints for Nintendo games and IP to get its games seen by as many people as possible including those who haven’t played their games before.

  1. I love this so much. Brings back fond memories.

Also one time as a kid I snuck away to lay a demo at Montgomery Ward and my mom legit couldn’t find me (she didn’t think to look in electronics) and thought I was kidnapped 😂 Man was she mad at me when she found me.

What’s even worse is the game I was playing was Link and the Faces of Evil 😂 such a trash game

  2. Every gamer over 30 remembers standing in the game aisle, holding that stationary controller that was sticking out of the display glass, and crooning our necks to look at the tv hovering over our heads.

  3. Because they don’t want to let people try demos at home via the eshop. Games Like Metroid, Pikmin, StarFox will always have low sells compared to other Nintendo Franchises because Nintendo doesn’t do all the can to help such franchises be all that they can be and to be in as in many hands as possible.
