Warner Bros. Games has published and developed titles such as the Mortal Kombat series and Hogwarts Legacy which have both been huge hits, but Netflix which is set to acquire Warner Bros and subsequently Warner Bros Games, didn’t attribute any value in the game development business. Netflix co-CEO, president and director Gregory Peters told investors that “We think that there’s definitely an opportunity there. But just to be clear, we haven’t built that into our deal model.”
Peters said while Warner had done “great work in the game space, we actually didn’t attribute any value to that from the get-go because they’re relatively minor compared to the grand scheme of things”.
“Now we are super excited because some of those properties that they’ve built, Hogwarts is a great example of that, have been done quite well, and we think that we can incorporate that into what we’re offering,” stated Peters.
“They’ve got great studios and great folks working there. So we think that there’s definitely an opportunity there. But just to be clear, we haven’t built that into our deal model.”
Well, as they said in the third quote, they have plans to incorporate games in the future.
I hope they don’t cancel games that are currently in development and move forward with them and new ones.
Yeah they will they’re closing down the studios their is no money in this for them and it doesn’t fit their business you people fail to realize WB is a TV and film company first not gaming. You’re best bet is Skydance sure stufios will close but not all given that Skydance has a gaming division with Amy Hening.
What games? WB only makes trash they have 1 big game Hogwarts 2 outside that Gotham Knights and that studio is now making a live service DC game after the last 2 flopped, MK1 massive flop and NRS has just been making trash Injustice 3 will not save them and either way closure was coming soon, Rocksteady is a mess last game was Suicide Squad which took near 10 years and flopped hard even worse the staff that made the Arkham games including the founders have since left and their last good game was Arkham City which had BatmanTAS writers not Rocksteady them making a new Batman sounds awful. To those that hate this they should cancel Netflix but they won’t because they’re annoying lip service warriors man baby 40 year olds talking like 10 year olds.
Yeah it’s a drain on money and Netflix doesn’t make games they’d keep MK for Zack Snyder. But Skydancebif they buy WBD will keep sone of the studios Avalanche is safe and probably TT Games but Montreal, Netherrealm and Rocksteady more likely to get closed especially the later 2 however restructuring is also a possibility. Liars like Max dood refuse to acknowledge that Skydance has a gaming division so that’s why the gaming division won’t be fully shut down but crybaby mad they probably won’t make fighting games. Then again Skydance revived the Avatar fighting game so MK could get outsourced that route under them or more likely God Of War style action game for MK fans have wanted.
Yup they’re doing this to restore the Snyderverse and yeah watch him take MK.
Max cheered on Disney buying Fox but cries at this massive hypocrites all the millennial Gen X Disney adults. These losers will complain about corporations, capitalism, and greed but support them still and take money complete frauds that should have no say in anything. Like if this upsets you cancel Netflix but they won’t like honestly it’s simple and there’s better things to watch elsewhere but these people won’t same way they won’t quit Disney which is honestly concerning same with Twitch they hate Amazon but keep using it, hate Elon but keep using X to “own the chuds”, keep using Meta platforms despite hating Zuckerberg, add Google and Apple to those lists over their support of Trump or Google with YouTube AI support but they still support it. Honestly I don’t even think Max should care he hated MK until they started paying him off and giving him a say in the game like the awful kameo system he lived and he doesn’t like or play the other WB Games doesn’t even like their brands don’t see why he’s even mad. I think some people forget that Netflix does game streaming now. The games may not have been what they had in mind when purchasing the company but to say they have no value at all is a bit of an overstatement.
There is no money that’s why. Good shut down WB Games it’s a dump anyway if Skydance buys WBD close NRS finally at least!

Reports are Skydance will get it but WBD wants them to up the price.
Skydance needs to buy them for those who don’t know they own Terminator, Halloween, and Scream other horror franchises too buy WBD and they could make Horror Kombat.
