Koei Tecmo has announced that DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered will no longer be releasing on the original Nintendo Switch, with development instead moving forward for Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch 2 version of the remastered hack-and-slash threequel will launch day-and-date with other platforms on 1st October 2026. Pre-orders before that date will come with the exclusive “Red Hare Saddle-Retro Style” in-game item. Alongside the standard release, a “Digital Deluxe Edition” will also be available to purchase separately or bundled with the base game, which includes the following:
- DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 Retro Costumes (42 total)
A set of retro costumes based off of the original DYNASTY WARRIORS 3. - Wind Scroll and Tiger Amulet
Items for increasing your attack range by 10 and attack stat by 10. - Six Secret Teachings
An item that increases officer Merit gain. - Weapons that can also be used for fusion (42 total)
Weapons with useful abilities that can be used for as fusion materials. Weapons for all officers are included. - Officer Concept Art Collection

The God of War spinoff looks neat tho. Def an average SoP tho.
It looked like trash you have a jello as your companion and the mechanics looked off the game and Wolverine both look last gen.
It was horrible. I expected Virtua Fighter 6 and it was not there. I hope Nintendo Direct happens.

This is disappointing news for Switch users, especially with the cancellation of the Switch version. However, it’s still good to see that Dynasty Warriors 3 Remaster is finally getting a release date on 1st October for Switch 2.
