If the rumour of Nintendo adding a second circle pad to the Nintendo 3DS proves to be true then we could start to see an influx of PlayStation Vita games making their appearance on the Nintendo 3DS according to EEDAR’s Jesse Divnich.

Madden NFL 09for example was developed for the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox, Wii, Nintendo DS and PSP, all of which required at least 4 different internal teams. If the 3DS rumors are true and Nintendo plans to add a second analog stick, it would at least group the Vita and 3DS into the same category. While the technological differences would require additional development resources, more so than when an Xbox 360 title is ported to the PS3 (or vice versa), adding a second analog stick to the 3DS at least make game porting between itself and the Vita possible.”

I own a PS3, all I found worth owning in your list is MGS4, Killzone 2/3, FF13, Heavy Rain (which is probably the best game ever (at least it’s really unique)). Only reason I own ModNation, Little Big Planet, and inFamous 1 is because they were free for the PSN outage. Half of the rest of your list is crap. The other half is respectable and well received by the gaming community, just not worth owning (personally).

I bought a ps3 way after the Wii and I’m bored as hell with it. It’s a bunch of the same old ps garbage with better graphics. Wipeout is a pale version of F-Zero, little big is just another mario clone, call of duty and those fps games are Zzzzzzzz, “oh look at me I’m pretending to do real life murder, yay”.
Red Dead was great, God of war was pretty awesome, metal gear was interesting, but most were just the same old thing… At least Nintendo improves upon things.

It may not be severly downgraded. 3DS can run very good quality games as you can see from RE Revelations and Metal Gear 3 which they added some new features to. Same with street fighter 4.

I saw that once too, but the screen on the 3DS is too small, it would cover the whole thing up. Then the attachment would only work for games that use one screen.

don’t know how they were supposed to add a second circle pad but as my only disappointment concerning the 3ds has always been the single circle pad, it would be great.
Ok, this is getting stupid. The reason the PSP didn’t get a second analog stick before Vita was because it was the PSP, meaning that ALL PSP game should be playable on any version of the PSP. A second analog stick would have made some games incompatible with normal PSP’s. It’s the same for the 3DS. The only way I see this working is having an entra option for non-dual stick systems, but I just don’t see third parties doing that extra work.
Your right, having the option to have dual pads would make developers work harder to input controls for the select ppl who enjoy that.
Uh, ports are possible. The stylus just replaces the second joystick? It’s not like the Vita can use a touch screen and two joysticks at the exact same time. And where will this plug in at? It might plug into the power port, but how in the world would that work, the peripheral would cover half the console up! But this is Nintendo, they can make anything work.

After reading that the sequel to Little King’s Story was going to the Vita, I was quite distraught. That game is like Pikmin on steroids. Hopefully Nintendo took some notes. This article gives me hope that I may one day play the sequel on my 3DS.
Oh. So if a rumour is true we may get ports of games. Only interesting game coming for the Vita is Little King’s. The rest just sound like ports of the PS3 games and I wasn’t impressed with Uncharted the first two times.

Honestly. I’ve been playing games since the 90’s as well, and I don’t really care what system I play, as long as the games are good. I’m in it for the games after all, and each system has something to offer, at least in my case. I have a bit of favoritism to Nintendo, but I buy the other consoles anyway, because I love the games.

I thought that Nintendo swore there is no plans for any “3DS Lite” or whatever you want to call a revamped version, and if one comes out in the future with this second stick, would that mean that older 3DS systems can’t play the Vita ports, like you can’t play Guitar Hero DS if you have a DSi?

I like the Nintendo for their games. Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Punch out, ect. You can’t find that on any other machine unless you install a emulator on the psp for example. Then its still not the same. I look forward to the Wii U. Nintendo always leads the innovation and the rest follows. It wont be long before playstaion goes 3d on the handheld then you guys won’t be dissing it you will be praising it.
