Nintendo has announced via a press release that it sold more than 400,000 total hardware units in June and saw double-digit growth across each of its product lines compared to May. 1. Not really. Their PlayStation division did take a loss in the previous years. That doesn’t mean it still is.

Their movie, television, and music divisions are doing fine if not great. You probably helped fund them too by ratings when watching your favorite TV shows or watching a blockbuster film.

Electronics is in a bit of trouble due to high TV costs for one.

            Etc. etc. etc.

Stop being a whiny fanboy. Nintendo took a loss last year too. But that doesn’t mean they’ll stay down. Companies take losses all the time. They can recover though.

The fact that Sony is a multinational conglomerate and doesn’t just rely on one thing for profits helps.

I don’t see why Sony was brought up anyway, this is about Nintendo sales not: How we can trash other companies!

Anyway, sounds good for Nintendo. These are usually slow months for gaming anyway but those are still decent numbers.

            1. “take losses all the time” in nintendos case first time since they drew their first profit, 1980 I think

            2. Sony took over 10x a loss than Nintendo. Do your damn research. They are also losing millions on the failed Vita project, which is selling less than the PSP at the moment. Good research fanboy.

  1. Nintendo is truly the world leader in video games. Over 400k Nintendo units sold in the US last June? Major props go to NoJ President Iwata, NoA President The Regginator, and NoA VP of taking names Mofitt!

  2. the gaming giant managed 2 produce & sell 400,000 nintendo consoles in june, for the trusty nintendo fans to purchase and play them?.. thats spectacular.. what a holy relationship , i compare my bond w/nintendo to the relationship of a sexy mistress and her alcoholic female lover.

  3. I find it strange how Nintendo was the huge superpower then got surpassed by the others and now is getting back on top. I think its down to the user friendliness and a focus on less intense games. i.e. cheaper to produce and more casual gaming!
