Nintendo has revealed the box art for The Wonderful 101. Developed by Platinum Games and published by Nintendo, the action-adventure game will be released on September 15th, exclusively for the Wii U console. Earlier today, Nintendo confirmed that additional details regarding the game will be announced after E3.

Thanks, jcnba28.

  1. Looks sweet. But of course, the Xbots and Sony drones will just talk about how childish this game looks without actually playing it.

        1. never played it, always thought it looked kinda weird lol. But when there was the FF7 mod it intrigued me lol.

      1. Worst part is that Little Big Planet is great, but of course it was bound to fail hard as fuck; it appeals much more to the Mario, DK, Kirby crew than to anyone in Sony’s fanbase.

      1. got that one spot on. stupid microsoft, well all will be over they have no worthy titles that they havnt all ready ruined. maybe they shouldnt of ruined rare. now with all there shitty franchises that they all ready milked in one generation and there shitty 720 they will be gone and wishing they didnt destroy one of the best developers of all time.

          1. no the xbox only does better in America anywere else in the world playstation is sold more in japan xbox does not even sell nearly…

      2. Thanks, but if you think about it, banjo kazooie would never exist without mario 64…

I wonder if 3D platform games would even be good without Mario 64, cause you know it’s been 2 decades and Mario is still one of the best, also the percursor of the genre, both 2D and 3D.

I think it deserves some respect, even if you don’t really like it.

  2. Meh…Platinum Games are kinda…meh. Doesn’t look terrible, and I don’t have a Wii U yet (Waiting for Pikmin and SSB) but I don’t think I’ll get it.

    1. Woah. You’re entitled to your opinion and everything, but I have to disagree completely. Platinum makes fantastic games all the time. The only mediocre one that comes to mind would be Anarchy Reins.

    1. Nothing against that one, but something about the real boxart looks more like a game I would actually pick up and look at in a store.

It conveys more of the action and humor of the game I think.

  3. Fuck…I wasnt going to get this out of rage of it being so far away…but that boxart…is good…cant…resist!!!

  4. That logo is so good looking. Its a shame its coming out almost at the time when they announced the wii u’s launch date. Wish this was coming out in july

  5. Awesome new logo awesome new box art awesome looking game! The only thing not WONDERFUL about this is the game is so far away. :(

    1. Nobody cares.
I think both X and The Last of Us will be awesome games, that’s all i care about.

    2. Ok first you need glasses.

Second, The last of us footage was dull with no action at all and still had terrible character animation, very clunky and awkward looking. While the WiiU games not only looked better graphically but they had tons of action and butter smooth animations while maintaining a higher framerate. Yur a nub arnt-cha?

    3. Becuase They’ve took 7 years to push the PS3 to its bleeding limits.

Wiiu is no where near that stage in development yet. I guarantee you when The original Zelda Game for Wiiu arrives it will fucking Destroy everything on PS3 and 360. No questions.

    4. Yes. And the Last of Us is pretty much squeezing every bit of juice out of the PS3 while the WiiU hasn’t even started to show what it can do.

  6. We have been waiting so long for a good game, my expectations for something good is so high, I don’t know if anything can satisfy my expectations.

    1. Wasn’t this title announced even before Wii U launched? I think it was supposed to launch in the first months, right?
And now it is delayed to September.
As much as it pains me to say it, Nintendo is being idiotic with Wii U launches, the drought was supposed to go from January to March, we’re in May and still nothing.

      1. Don’t blame Nintendo just because they want to bring quality games to the Wii U instead of rushing things and make it worse like EA games on a launch release. Be patience and I assure you that Nintendo will deliver more in the next 2 weeks. Have patience and keep your expectations low.

        1. They announced the Wii U in 2011. They’ve had plenty enough time to bring out quality games. They would of been developing even before that announcement.

            1. I’m not hating or anything, more constructive criticism. I want the Wii U to do well, just Nintendo need to hurry up with there big guns!!!

              1. Sky Grounder [@ Wii U]

They said something about the transition to HD being more rough than expected, when it came to allocating and relocating developers for their different Wii U projects.

              2. yah I agree jelly bean. no one here can argue against that when we’ve been going through a drought like this. but I can definitely wait because I have a game backlog that can last me the whole summer and I’m probably gunna buy monster hunter to help too. At least well se some info about the big hitters in the E3 directs. that will give me enough hype to forgive them a bit.

            1. That’s one game (Which should get GOTY actually). Nintendo takes forever with all of it’s games. Good day sir.

  7. I think Viewtiful Joe would approve of this.
In fact, I would be extremely happy if he was a hidden Hero in this game; his costume makes him a natural fit for it!
