Pokémon Sun and Moon is lacking in the mini games that a lot of past Pokémon games included. X and Y featured a host of simple mini games inside of Pokémon-Amie, while practically all the old games featured the casino like Game Corner. However, the official Sun and Moon website now features a few simple flash games based on the 3DS releases. They aren’t going to keep you for hours, but their simple arcade design is pretty entertaining in a short burst. Check out the game here.

Now that you mention it, yes it is. Why did the remove the little mini games from Pokemon Refresh/Amie this gen? Those were pretty neat.
They were repetitive but fun so I’m kinda sad that there are no mini games.
It’s GameFreak’s modus operandi. They always remove something people liked from previous games in the new games. Personally, I think it’s because they are being cheap and/or lazy as keeping old stuff from past gens in new games while adding new stuff would require more work. Gotta get these Pokemon games out in less than 3 years, after all.
There is still a minigame in Pokemon Sun and Moon… the Pokefinder.
Not only is that boring and insignificant, but it’s unplayable on the base 3DS model.
I don’t disagree that it’s a rubbish minigame. I was just pointing out that there is some form of side-activity in Pokemon Sun & Moon, even if it’s nowhere near as fun as previous games.
