multicolourwii.jpg

An anonymous Nintendo representative has apparently informed tech/gaming website GameDrift that the company is set to release a host of coloured variations of its prevailing Wii platform.

Though this news won’t initially come as a shock to the majority of readers, the news inevitably goes a little way closer to etching out just how Nintendo plans to entice even more non-gamers to the fold in 2007.

Although details are a little sparse as yet; with no subsequent pricing or release date details revealed, the representive did inform the site that a red and black console have so far been inured by the Kyoto based behemoth.

  1. oh awesome i might give my white one to my girlfriend and buy a Black Wii for me! :D that would be awesome… although i heard of this company that makes Wii Skins. i had a look and they’re awesome! they come in different colours and u can add drawings and effects on them… so cool… but its Black Wii for me!! just imagining that DVD Slot lighting up on a black wii makes me Salivate! hehehehe

  2. I wonder if they’ll play DVDs too. I’ve saved up $223 for a Wii up to this point and I hope that they come out with these Wiis around the time I reach $274!

  3. I’m kind of unsure if I should be happy or sad about this announcement. I’m glad that I have had my Wii since release day but now that the possibility of colors is announced, I very well may want to trade mine in for a shiny red or lime green version. That type of game buying definitely takes a toll on the ol pocketbook.

  4. I heard that the coloured wii’s were comin out in middle of 2008! I no this is true because my mate is a nintendo freak!!! When they do come out, i’m hopin for a red one!
