Nintendo Wii U: Ubisoft Believe Wii U ‘Will Change The Video Game Industry’

Ubisoft chairman and CEO, Yves Guillemot has told Gamasutra that he believes that the Wii U will ultimately change the video game industry as we currently know it. Ubisoft has never shied away from expressing their enthusiasm about the Wii U and they currently have several key titles in development for the machine including a new addition to the Assassins Creed franchise.

“We feel this console is coming with very innovative features that will change the video game industry and we want to be a part of that.”

“I love that you have a screen very close to you. You can get information and send it as well. But you don’t have to learn too many things.”

“I think it’s sending the message that the new transition is going to happen – and we’re going to have new machines coming soon.”

  1. I like that the dude at Ubisoft always support Nintendo. Us Nintendo fans appreciate it. Looking forward to all of your offerings on the Wii U.

  2. This would never happen but what if BG&E 2’s delays was because of the Wii U? I mean the game was unveiled in 2008, design began on the wii u the same year. Fast forward 6 months when nintendo would have an alpha prototype of their new console. Ubisoft sees this thinks its awesome and since its early enough starts putting it on ninty’s console :). Ahhh speculations :)

  3. Good, if only the Ubisofties won’t shit on this system with cheap-ass shovelware but give us good titles.

  5. I like ubi soft. Thought I don’t really like the wii u. It will most likely take away all the normal wii games and replace them with wii u game which will make no more games for old wii users to get unless they spend 200$ on a new wii u system.
