Although it was released last June on other platforms, Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara is scheduled for release on Wii U in August. According to publisher Capcom, the reason for the two-month delay is because the Wii U version of the game had gone through some “unexpected dev issues.” For those who don’t know, Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara is a compilation of Capcom’s two games in the Dungeons & Dragons franchise – Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom, which originally launched in 1993, and Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara, which was first released in 1996. Nintendo found a major bug during testing in the online portion of D&D when it was submitted by Capcom at the end May. It was sent back to be fixed. All is good now.

This article doesn’t explain much, but yeah what we’re all guessing is it is fixing the problem that is currently plaguing the PS4/XBOX online play. I was so looking forward to this game until I discovered you can’t have a local multiplayer mixed with online. Ultimate failing.
Nintendo doesn’t let buggy games release on their platforms. They sent it back to get fixed. If you bought the PS/XB versions, then your dollars are funding the superior Nintendo version. That’s right, you bought a beta-test.
