    1. I think that Alba means the regular price for a refurbished 3DS XL, but it is currently $170 instead

      1. Indeed…

The feeling of something that no one has ever touched before with their bare hands is the best…

                  1. Shamans are amazing when it come to healing. They heal with natural ingredients. Too bad doctors doesn’t give shaman’s medicines now a day. They are all manmade.

  1. Rip off detectet!!!

I wouldn’t get a “refurbished” 3DS because Nintendo is cashing in twice on a single device that has almost the same price as a new one.

They just wipe the storage, do firmware updates, polish it and might replace loose buttons.

I can do the same thing by purchasing a used and a broken 3DS (on ebay) and I’d even save money.

Warranty is not a big deal because Nintendo is accommodating when it comes to repair/replace.

By the way, why dafuq aren’t they including an AC adapter in the EU box. Material and production cost is just some €-Cents. It’s some plastic, rubber, copper and metal

    1. I hate this comment system so much!!!
Pasting a pre written text because I’m on my phone. Makes the last paragraph invisible, makes me paste that again, posted comment has two identical paragraphs: \(>^<)/

    2. I don’t think people understand what is “refurbished” mean in generally. Gamestop got the term wrong. What they are selling is “used” and it is not “refurbished”. Hopefully Nintendo using this term in a correct way.

What “refurbished” mean is that if the device is broken and it is returned to the supplier for repair. They will replace the parts but not only that but they also test the device. In other word, the “refurbished” devices may have longer life span due to the fact it is actually tested when the new devices do not get tested.

This is one of the main reason why most customers prefer “refurbished” devices than new devices because they know it will work very well and also it is cheaper.

      1. And you are telling this to ME because of….. ?

Refurbished or not, they are still pre owned. Gamestop is just taking the systems and doubles the price they paid the former owner.

        1. I just telling everybody who read my post. But again you are right that I should post it rather than replying to you.

Companies usually buy refurbished devices for business since they need it and it last longer due to testing and part replacement. Do the supplier make money? Somewhat. There is a chance they actually lose money or gain money.

For example you got a Nintendo 3DS broken and you decide to send it in to Nintendo. They will replaced it for free due to warranty and they will send you a new Nintendo 3DS out of their stock. Then Nintendo didn’t trash or salvage the broken Nintendo 3Ds. Instead they repaired it so they can try to get a return money on it.

What I saying is that they be losing money if that all they do is replacing everybody Nintendo 3DS and they throwing them out. It is a part of business strategy that almost every companies use.

I think warranty from game stores or electronic stores are a joke. I rather sent them myself to the original supplier. Seriously who buy warranty for digital copies?

  2. They have been selling refurbished 3DS’s for ages now !

I have a original 3DS, got it at launch & have not had any problems at all with it, no dead pixels or anything, i have heard that the XL is not as well built as the original, but the key issue for me being a handheld is the size, the 3DS fits in pockets but the XL doesn’t, the XL is just too big imo.

      1. Off topic: One day only one day left until Pikmin 3. Though my ass has to wait till the 7th since dumb Amazon can’t ship it earlier like they did AC3 and Zombie U. That sucks. Oh and I rather by my 3DS XL new. I’m thank God that Ihave never bought aanything used. I just hope he allows me to continue that.

  3. Personally, I never trust “refurbished” consoles. They never seem to work. Still, if you’re up for the risk, then go for it! I always get my consoles in black (Except the Wii so that it really stands out)
