This week’s UK chart positions are now in courtesy of GFK, and Call of Duty: Ghosts shoots to the very top of the board, claiming the number one spot. However, it’s not due to sales of the Wii U version as Nintendo’s console managed to score less than 1 per cent of the multi-platform sales. 62 per cent of the game’s sales came from Xbox 360, while 36 per cent came from PlayStation 3 and 3 per cent from PlayStation 4, which is only a few weeks from its release date.
Though the Wii U suffers in multi-platform territory – newly released Batman: Arkham Origins skips the individual top 40 as well – New Super Luigi U and New Super Mario Bros. U re-enter the charts coming in at 31 and 33 in the all-formats chart, due to the hardware bundle released last week. Sonic Lost World slips from 28 to 34, placing behind New Super Mario Bros. U.
In 3DS news, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy narrowly misses out on a place in the all-formats top 10 and comes in at 13, placing ahead of Pokemon X and Y in 14th and 15th positions. Not really. It didn’t get the free fall preorder map and doesn’t have the stupid clans system, but the game is still very fun on the Wii U. What they left out of the Wii U version is the fluff for other versions. I hope it gets DLC, but I’m still enjoying it regardless.
Was debating whether to pick up a Wii U or a PS4…but i’ll probably end up getting none of them. I barely play console games anymore. I’ll be missing out on that SSB4WiiU but i’ll def pick up the 3DS version which probably won’t be that much different anyways. Once you’ve played a Smash Bros. game the rest aren’t hugely different, and I gotta say so far the best one has been Meele. Let’s hope SSB43DS is just as good.
Get a Wii U. It is honestly one of the coolest pieces of technology i’ve owned in a long while. And Nintendo Land is so much fun, same with Pikmin, Mario+Luigi U, Wii Party U, and 3d world, kart 8, tropical freeze and a bunch of other games look amazing.

A console needs as much 3rd party support as 1st. Variety is what lures in more than just babies. If Nintendo ever limited themselves to 1st party only they’d crash & burn mighty quickly. There’s only so much you can milk a cow before it drops dead.

There are MANY people who will buy a cheaper console just to play a few big titles…MarioKart, Smash Bros, Zelda, X… and will then pick up casual 1st party titles… Nintendo is always criticized and yet they still come out so fresh and clean everytime. Nintendo actually has the cojones to innovate and change the industry, while everyone else just follows. Sony dual shock was just a knock off of the N64 Rumble Pack, as well as Move is a pretty crude knockoff of the wiimote. Too bad that Sony and MS are both losing money and there respective gaming divisions will be sold off or shuttered soon. MS will sell off first when the new CEO takes over, and Sony wont be far after… they only have so many buildings they can sell off to cover losses….

Yeah, but I’m not interested in most of this 3rd party games nowadays. If I would have bought an PS3/XBox360, I probably would’ve ending up with about 15 games, maybe less.
The reason is Nintendo gamers are tired of the third party gimping their Wii U ports intentionally for this exact reason: They want an excuse to not support the platform so they know by gimping ports, the fanbase will take notice and stop buying. I’ve never actually picked one up (or played one other than the modern warfare’s) but it’s a little disappointing that it didn’t do too well on Wii U. I know it’s dumb, but a lot of people i know seem to base a good console on whether or not it can play call of duty.

There were more games released during the first year of the Gamecube’s release than in the Wii U’s first year, why?, because back then Nintendo was a more diversified company. I went into a few retailers and didn’t see the game on Wii U shelve. Also it lacks features.

COD Ghosts is obviously gimped, unsupported and every Wii U gamer like me knows it and won’t support a half-assed port just for them to make a quick buck..well, except for the idiots owning Wii U versions thinking that asking people to support the games would change anything because it won’t. 2. They, once again, lied about Wii U versions’s DLC which played another big factor on its sales. And this leaves me wondering: WTF has anyone not sue Activision for false advertisement yet?!
3. COD Ghosts is the same old shit like last years’s garbage and the year before that. I must say that COD is worst than EA Sports games and Ghosts is by far the laziest attempt I’ve ever seen in the series. I don’t feel sorry for the suckers still buying/praising this rehashed shit not even my own uncle who happens to like this game and the next..like really. Its 4hrs long, multiplayer still sucks with noobs, hackers and..KIDS ruining the fun and the game itself ripped off so many materials from Black Ops 2, Modern Warfare 2/3, Gravity with guns..in space…WTF…and especially Battlefield with the knifing, destruction (which is pathetically scripted) and that inside view tank scene in one mission.
4. Wake up fandorks because its not the best looking COD or even refreshing at best. The engine is the same shit, the visuals is not better or more fully optimized than Black Ops 2 because all ports look like shit except PS4’s, that overly hyped dog Riley was stupid and wasteful and the fish AI…seriously..you’re surprised to see the same fish AI that I’ve also seen in Super Mario 64..which is a 1996 game and its not even intelligent nor special.

No one is saying that DLC would be a massive sales boost, what people are saying is how to Activision expect the game to sell on Wii U when the PS3/360 versions have all the features, people are just going to buy them and as I mentioned before DLC was promised as a pre-order bonus, that has nothing to do with sales.
The problem with the PS3 wasn’t just the price, it was incredibly hard to develop for. it took three years to turn the system around with 3rd party support. It took three months for EA to drop the Wii U/

Nintendo, as estimated sales have hit 286,000, from the period of October 5th to November 2, also GameStop and target have sold out of NSMBU bundles.
The gamepad is supposed to sell the game on the WiiU, isn’t it? “New” or “different” ways to play, yeah? The problem is that spending time to develop for the Wii’s motion controls or the WiiU’s gamepad takes more time and money, and especially with the WiiU, that time and money isn’t justifiable at the moment. With the PS3, you still have the previous PS2 install base and the same basic sort of controls (Sony may have had a camera and the lame Sixaxis, but they never made it something you HAD to develop for). The PS3 may have been more difficult to develop, but the sales jumped once the price was lowered. Sales of the PS3 for 2007 were 3.61 million – 2008 they were at 9.24 million.
Whether Nintendo can have that amount of growth in 2014 remains to be seen. Also, you’re still ignoring my point on perspective. 286,000 units for a month isn’t that great compared to what they’re trying to hit. Now, if sales continue to grow in the next year at that rate, then there might be something to cheer about – it also remains to be seen exactly how many orders for the new WiiU bundle Gamestop had. It sounds impressive when they say they “sold out”, but if I am selling, say 100 units of something and it all sells out – hey, I’m sold out…despite it being a paltry number.

Well, I have a PS3, but for the Japanese exclusives (Ni No Kuni, Tales of Graces, Tales of Xillia and Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F). I had an Xbox 360 but never used it except for the RockBand and Guitar Hero games.
I have more Wii and WiiU. I love my tales of sympnonia 2, Xenoblade, Pandora’s Tower, Last Story and Okami for the Wii.
for Wii U i adore Lego City, Wonderful 101 and Rayman Legends I just picked up Sonic Lost World.
I plan on picking up Bayonetta 2 like i grabbed Bayonnetta on the PS3 just to see shat the hype was all about. I also look forward to get Monster hunter 3 ultimate by christmas as well as Black Flag.
I did pick up Batman Arkham City but I quickly lost interest but Assasins Creed 3 was quite fun but I am going to have to pick up the other games for PS3.
I do look forward to next year for X, monster hunter 4 from Capcom and hopefully a few new Atlus games.

I bought W101 at launch it’d a great game. Do they even advertise W101 on TV?
You can also look at it this way: the 60% of COD from 360 just shows you how much those people ain’t interested in XBone.
Its funny all these comments but it actually works both ways:-
The game has no support its true, but the reason for this is no1 buys it!
How do you fix this? Buy the game? Not support the game? sounds like chicken and egg!
One thing I would say is that Nintendo fans do not look at the positive of Ghosts at all:-
-Off Screen Play
-Motion Controls
-Split Screen with Gamepad
-Good Framerate
Is that not a good deal? I think motion control is very unique as well as the features above (split screen with Gamepad is amazing!). However no DLC is a sad point and it annoys me each time, however it stops me from spending loads of money on COD and still enjoying the game!
Some things I hate about Ghosts Wii U:-
-No marketing
-No DLC
-No stock anywhere
-The other versions are a lot cheaper!
Of course its going to sell better on the other consoles they have a much higher fan base, but if you have both consoles what do you choose? The COD fan base basically grows each year eventually the Nintendo COD fan base can get large enough to warrant those features plus all the exclusive ones. I for one will support it on the Wii U as its a little fresher with the gamepad stuff and generally its new players.

Even in store all they have is one Wii U CoDGhosts case on the bottom shelf while PS3/4/360/XB1 ads all over the place with posters etc…
I pulled this up and if you go to the Wii U section they dont even have Ghosts listed as a product.
Not surprising. 4 million Wii U owners, not all of them like COD. So no surprise that less then 4 million is about 1%. Most of the human race lacks common sense. People would rather buy it on a system where they have to pay for online for some reason.
