Capcom Confirms It’s Bringing More GBA Games To The Wii U Virtual Console

Capcom has confirmed that it is working on bringing additional Game Boy Advance titles to the Wii U Virtual Console. The announcement comes after the Australian Classification Board outed Wii U ports of Mega Man Battle Network 3: White Version and Mega Man Battle Network 3: Blue Version. Meanwhille, on the Nintendo 3DS front, the publisher has six Mega Man games lined up for the handheld’s Virtual Console service.

“We are working on bringing this and other GBA titles to the North American Virtual Console,” a Capcom spokesperson said. “We’ll have more information about the lineup in the coming months. For Australia and Europe, we are still in discussions about the release of Virtual Console titles for those markets.”

  1. Capcom confirms it will continue to resell you old Mega Man games and refuse to make new ones.

    1. Uhh hello! i personaly mised out on a lot of thees games growin up so i am hapy they are! i grew up only with a ds lite because my mother’s mother loved me and bought it four mii because she loves mii and i love her. i love my grandmother four leting mii experence ds lite games and i love her for having mother who i love because mother had mii!

      cheers!
      -ben :)

      1. Maybe if mother drops you as an adult it will reverse the damage?… Wait, that’s flinstones

      2. And unethical.

I guess if you’re a casual gamer who doesn’t care about the industry, then I guess why you wouldn’t care.

      3. What’s unethical is Nintendo/Capcom charging $8 for GBA ROMS. Buying ROMS doesn’t help the industry, it only fuels you getting ripped off. Look at what you can get on PSN for $10 tonight and compare that to a GBA Rom. Nothing casual about it, game prices are way overpriced (any other service wouldn’t charge over $5) and emulators on PC run it BETTER than the Wii U.

      4. If you had a ds lite how did you miss out on these games? A ds lite had a GBA port. Also, you need to learn to spell correctly, and possibly go to a psychiatrist for some deep unresolved issues.

    2. And that’s why I wish for nothing but a deserving death of Crapcom for senselessly killing Megaman and various franchises just to copycat everyone else like EA by selling your shittons of BS DLCs and fucked up action-oriented games instead of horror (Resident Evil)

I care for nothing else from Crapcom except Megaman since that fraschise never deserved such fate. Either Inafune gets the back or Nintendo realizes he needs a new home for revival and buy the IP to save him. Whatever of those two happens (hopefully), I’ll be damn glad they did and then happily watch Crapcom fall with the others like THQ, Atari and Midway.

  2. megaman battle network is 1 of my favorite games on the gba. i just wish they would have put a multiplayer battle only on this game.

  3. I wish Capcom would release Resident Evil 5 and 6 (was there a 6?) on Wii U. And not a Virtual Console thing (even though I heard they/it sucked). Retail games.

      1. That’s a shame. I wish they’d make another Resident Evil as good as RE4 was. I don’t normally like games like that, but RE4 was so fun that I played it all the way through probably 3 or 4 times or more. Very unusual for me.

    1. Oh no. Those games fucked up the series forever. I rather have the HD port of RE4 in eShop since everybody loved it and it was the lazt greatest RE game.

  4. I Just had sex with a BBW.
    IT was Great.
Now they say there will be more MegaMan.
    What a great night!

      1. I had me a bbw too! Over the weekend it was lovely 2nd floor sex while the windows are open. Afterwards he highfived and had rotisserie chicken.
All I needed to hear that mega man was coming to the wii u on a crossover with mighty no.9.

  5. I will buy every Battle Network game on VC because Battle Network/NT Warrior MegaMan is my favorite one, probably followed by the original. It’d be cool if Lan’s MegaMan.EXE was in Smash as more than just a Final Smash though but either way I appreciate how Nintendo is keeping MM alive more than Capcom did even during his anniversary. They should buy him and make new games i’m sure they’d be great.

  6. It’s nice to know you still acknowledge Mega Man’s existence, Capcom.

Now will you PLEASE make a new game?! I’ll take anything right now. Star Force 4. ZX 3. Legends 3. Something new. I don’t care.

  7. Good for you that you’re re-releasing Megaman as means to delay your downfall Crapcom. Wouldn’t be a far better idea to revive Megaman and make a new game like Legends 3 for 3DS to save your companies reputation or would you rather go full blown retarded and continue going down the suicidal path to mimic the likes of EA & Avtivision turning your franchise in cheap ass action-oriented crap filled with BS DLCs to cheat “easy profit” out of them and, when realize the plan royally backfired, instead of going back to your old ways to save yourselves, you wanted to run away to the pathetic mobile phone department…

I hope either Inafune or Nintendo gets their hands on Megaman because Crapcom, you deserve to die just like Atari, THQ & Midway for turning away from gamers.

  8. whats the point of buying vc games when you can get the diffenitive version on pc or tablets for free. these gba game are too expensive. even some xbox 360 games are 5 bucks in gamestop or at xbox live arcade.

    1. You said PC was for social rejects and now your saying its okay? The hypocrisy is great in this one, but glad you finally agree, PC and Steambox is always superior to your underpowered PC.
