Rumour: Adam Howden Will Apparently Be Reprising His Voice Acting Role As Shulk In Super Smash Bros

Adam Howden will apparently once again be using his vocal talents as Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles in Super Smash Bros on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. The news broke on the Internet Movie Database where Howden is now credited for lending his voice in Super Smash Bros. Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS is out October while the Wii U version will be coming sometime in the winter and will support Amiibo.

Update: As many of you have pointed out this is likely to be fake as the main IMDB site is apparently editable by anyone. The tweet above suggests he’s been doing some gaming voiceover work, but that was posted back in May. Thanks to those in the comments.

    1. I’ve always thought this too. All of his arts from Xenoblade are perfect for Super Smash Bros. Genuinely he is the one character I really hope they add.

  1. Anybody can edit IMDB right? While I do want him in, I don’t think this proves it completely.

    1. Agreed. Whether he’ll be an assist trophy or a playable character remains to be seen. If he is in the game as playable, I hope he’ll be a hidden character to unlock.

  2. Fake or not, he WILL be in Smash regardless since the Gematsu/Sal leak is becoming more accurate since both pre-E3 reveals and Greninja’s reveal.

  3. Okay, as much as I love the news here, I think almost everyone knows that IMDB isn’t that reliable, especially on games that have left to come out.

Shulk isn’t even revealed yet. Perhaps we should wait until he is.

  4. I don’t care about the dubbed english voices. It’s the Japanese voices that make games like this!

  5. Even more proving the gematsu leak. Shulk, Chrom, Chorus Men, all looking forward to! (Hopefully Ridley too)

      1. I won’t believe it till I see it, it makes too much sense to have ridley in smash

      2. Really? Ridley is a stage hazard? Has Sakurai confirmed it with seriousness & without using teasing & trolling tactics? No? He hasn’t? Then keep quiet til he does.

      1. We don’t know that, even then does the main character have a confirmed VA? he could be voicing him or basically any other character

      2. There is NOTHING that says Shulk is or isn’t in the game yet. The planet they crashed on could very well be the planet that Shulk created at the end of Xenoblade Chronicles. We won’t know for sure til Monolith Soft tells us or til the game comes out.
