Handless Luigi Amiibo Spotted

nohandluigi

Defective Amiibo figures are becoming more and more common and now it seems there’s another to add to the list. This Luigi Amiibo figure is missing his left hand and also has no white glove on his right hand. Obviously the figure is now up on auction site eBay in the hopes that it raises plenty of cash.

Thanks, Andres

          1. I’ve never known that as a negative stereotype. Whenever I visit Mexico, it’s all joking about having too much tequila, and it’s never said meanly neither. It was a joke targeted at the comment above me. Nice try though.

  1. Damn. This is starting to get a bit ridiculous. It’s just a stupid piece of plastic that wasn’t made properly. Humans are so retarded, it sickens me. I can’t wait for an asteroid of some sort to destroy our civilization.

    1. More likely it’s a stupid piece of plastic which was taken out of its packaging, manipulated and then put back in, in order to scam fools out of their money.

  2. Very disappointed with Nintendo’s quality of production right now. Also, this trend is ridiculous. What if it is the employees making the Amiibos who are purposely screwing them up to cleverly resell them later for money?

    1. I think you need to keep things in perspective here. With any product there are bound to be a small percentage of them that are defective. These Amiibo happen to be a high profile item, and so when a defective Luigi or Peach or Samus comes out, video game sites such as MNN report on it. Does anyone care when a Pink Power Ranger action figure comes in its package missing her arm? No.

I actually think the quality of the production on these items is quite high for the price. I have five Amiibo now, and I am actually quite impressed with them.

      1. How often do you run into manufacturing defects on any, ANY product? Almost never. Machines are precise, not prone to error. There is absolutely no way marth could end up with a sword in the wrong hand, it just doesn’t make sense when you think about how the product is made. Maybe Luigi, but I wouldn’t be surprised if all of these were fake.

      2. You guys think they are great collectibles just because Nintendo is pushing these down your throat and you are too poor/naive to even appreciate a real collectible. Fuck you fanboys, trashing skylanders and infinity and calling their NFC figures trashy scams but praising the so-much-worse amiibos.

        1. The difference between these and skylanders is that amiibo add content to games and skylanders is on disc locked content witch REQUIRE you to buy extra stuff to get!

    1. I think that is highly unlikely. I just don’t see the logic. Firstly, Nintendo sees none of the profit from these resold defective Amiibo. Secondly, the buzz they create probably has mimimal impact on generating awareness for the product. In fact, whatever miniscule benefits Nintendo might reap would probably be lost by people assuming Amiibo are a shitty, poorly manufactured product.

I’d expect this sort of thing from Micro$hit, but not Nintendo.

That…and I think the defective Amiibo are probably fake. I mean, if I didn’t have a conscience, I’d totally be cashing in on this utter stupidity.

  3. Don’t you sense the familiar smell in the air? It’s the pervasive wafting of genius e-bay trickery and manipulation… Glorious.

  4. Another defective amiibo figure found in stores, its villager with real blood on him and some human body part inside the box. This is getting ridiculus.

  5. lego is producing like more than a couple billion bricks a year jet out of all the bricks 8 of them are wrong manufactured…

either nintendo is going for quantitie over quality or these are scams

  6. Nintendo really cut some corners with their amiibos, didn’t they? Not only are they coming out defective, but the paint job on them is just horrendous. I’m looking at you Samus amiibo.

  7. I believe the first two were real. I believe these last ones to be faked. When people realize you can sell a defective amiibo for thousands, you will be suprised what people will do.

I guarentee i can get into an Amiibo package and re-seal it without anybody knowing. All it would take is a razor blade and some patience.

  8. The more of these so-called factory errors that I hear about, the more convinced I am that people are doing this on purpose. Like, maybe they know of a way to open these and seal them back.

      1. Nintendo needs to find better uses for amiibo Smash is fine and all, CTTT, Hyrule Warriors and the rest too, but it’s not essential yet. It’ll become a fad soon if they don’t innovate with it. Although it could still be in the market as just toys and collectibles

      2. You guys think they are great collectibles just because Nintendo is pushing these down your throat and you are too poor/naive to even appreciate a real collectible. Fuck you fanboys, trashing skylanders and infinity and calling their NFC figures trashy scams but praising the so-much-worse amiibos.

  9. Watching all the american vultures on eBay breaking their amiibos in the box and asking for $40 + $10 shipping has to be one of the best thing ever.
    Poor poor America…

  11. These are intentional I believe … How are there molds for a left handed canon for a Samus when it supposed to only have a right handed canon ? There’s also a Samus with no canons, just 2 arms so why is there a right arm mold made if it was supposed to always have a canon ? Handless Luigi might just be a fuck up though lol.
