  1. Nintendo is My Blood Reborn

Sucks that it isn’t higher, but top 6 games are for Nintendo consoles, so I take that as good

  2. Well idk if they’ve explained it well I mean I don’t even understand what they are talking about half the time

  3. Well the top 5 are Nintendo this doesn’t mean the game isn’t selling just other games are selling more that’s still good if a game going to be beat it’s better that a Nintendo and a Wii U game is out doing it yes I see the top one is a 3ds game but it’s still good that it’s doing good

    1. Yes bring something that’s irrelevant to nintendo news. So to take your head out your own booty pipe, let me enlighten you. Sure xbox is failing in JAPAN, but not in other places. It’s still 2nd place in consoles while the Wii u is 3rd.

  4. It’s not that bad, but it is not also as good as people expected it to be.

XCX is niche, and case closed.

    1. Persona 5 is also niche so if that game fails to chart to no. 1 what will your excuse be?

      1. Don’t you mean “if it doesn’t fail?” If Persona V were to fail, then the excuse would be the same…

  5. japs seriously have bad taste in games. if it doesn’t have some weirdo anime/manga stuff, then is crap for them lol

  6. Xeno X should definitely be #1, it’s only not cause of how well the 3ds is doing In Japan compared to the Wii U.

  7. Honestly, it’s as good as an opening that I could expect.

P&D has Mario slapped on to it, so of course that’s going to sell, and not many RPG’s outsell Dragon Quest. All things considered, Xenoblade X opened well.

          1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

            >>>I see, well no surprise there>>>

            >>>Too bad he went against us instead of trying to make friends>>>

            1. it’s pretty ironic how he called us “social rejects” just when he doesn’t have a life.

Everything he did was because he was bored. pretty lame.

                  1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

                    >>>Well my allies destroyed him, I just had some ocassional fun from time to time>>>

    1. I'm a Boss Ass Bitch

Nintendo is mentally retarded challenged. If they can jump that fucking hurdle than finally they’re good to go.

        1. I'm a Boss Ass Bitch

It’s true. Only a retarded robo bitch like yourself will be so blind to not see it. Nintendo great in all, but pull your fucking shit together and stop making retarded ass decisions.

          1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

            >>>You little peon, haven’t I already made my stance clear like 9076 times already?>>>

              1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

                >>>No wonder why you and several others keep getting angry because of your ignorance>>>

                >>>But what to expect from low rankers>>>

                1. I'm a Boss Ass Bitch

Low rankers? Fucking please! A broke down bitch like yourself who keeps deep throating Nintendo’s dick all the time has no room to fucking talk whatsoever.

                  1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

                    >>>I can’t even, I’ve just explained it once again and still nothing>>>

          1. Nintendo Lieutenant Cereza

I read “king to the Gelflings”, and I was like, lulwut?
OHHH! CALF-LINGS. Because he’s a farmer… that’s racist yo. Not all Swedes raise cattle.

  9. Completely expected. Remember Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii sold better in the west. It’s a no brainer they would have lower sales in Japan. I’m pretty sure anyone who understands marketing predicted this. Even for the American demonstration they had roughly a week or so ago, Bill said that X is somewhat reminiscent of Metroid. You know what doesn’t sell well in Japan but it’s one of the most iconic franchises in Nintendo’s history? Metroid.

X also features a lot of additional western inspired gameplay designs. This game is clearly marketed to the wrong audience as of right now but they can correct this, be it through smart tactics. As I said before, this should have been handled like Pokemon X/Y with the multi region release.

This is my most anticipated game of 2015, make no mistake, but if X ends up number one on the Japanese sales charts come Wednesday I will be pleasantly surprised.

    1. Well the Eastern version is out first and they want to sell it to that demographic so I don’t quite think it’s marketed wrong. But other than that I can agree with your assertions.

  10. Gamers theses days are gay as shit they dont play anything cool they would rather play puzzle dragons instead of some bad ass open world RPG with gundams and wired looking dinosaur type things lol someone tell me how puzzle dragons is in number 1 xenoblade chronicles x is at number 3 lmao

  11. all the gamers are moving to casual gaming puzzle minceaft flappy bird boring games some how its out selling open world games like xenoblade chronicles x

  12. pink0crystal0midbus

I expected this. Everyone thought it would sell like crazy in Japan, but their change in the market is to great at this point to support the game. This game is not going to sell as well as people hope it will. People who think it will are delusional.

It is not going to be a huge success in the west either. I think it’s sales will be a step up from Bayonetta 2, but that’s it.

    1. Ridley, the Angel of Death

I want to disagree so bad but the past year keeps me from disagreeing & forces me to agree. But who knows. Maybe this will be the game to “save” the Wii U. (Yeah, right. If Mario Kart 8, Smash 4 Wii U, Bayonetta 1&2, Hyrule Warriors, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, & Super Mario 3D World all combined can’t save the console, why should this game added to those make any difference?)

  13. I can slightly understand Dragon Quest, but then the Wii version scored higher than XCX. #1 makes little sense.

  14. So~ as long as we buy the game like crazy we become the priority for the series is what I’m reading. I’m okay with this. I could use more RPGs that are actually fun in my life.

      1. One game is not really enough to quantify if a group likes something or not or even if the style is something they want. Humans and fans are fickle and you need at least two solid hits to verify a group or franchise as a priority.

Also you need to take into account that the game is finished and released over there so.. yeah they should prioritize selling the darn thing over there. It’s called business.

  16. Quintendo Nomander Cuadraxis

Except the weird stuff that Japan likes, XCX is top spot. Period.

Japan will take Mario with boobs over anything with quality.

  17. Heres the problem, and i’ve been fucking saying it since day one. Xenoblade fans live…. in…. the WEST!!!! They always have. Nintendo and Monolith are about as dumb as a bucket of rocks…

The original Xenoblade Chronicles sold about 150k in Japan… 150 fucking k., out of how many Wii’s? The game sold 6 to 7 times that amount in the West, most of it in the U.S…

So Monolith and Nintendo should have been focused on the WESTERN MARKET, like I have been saying the whole fucking time.. Now, the western market fans have to avoid internet spoilers, and wait literally months after the Japanese launch. We are sexond rate fans to Monolith, even though we make up 90% of the Xenoblade fan base… Monolith has a bunch of fucking morons working for them…

Sorry to be so harsh, I just predicted this from the start…

    1. What did you predict? It is one major Japanese store,”major Japanese retailer Tsutaya.” This is like people out the list for game sold at Best Buy. One major retailer. This is not the whole Japan and there is no numbers.

      1. Oh, c’mon. You and I both know this is bad news. If the game was selling well, it would have been the best seller, even at that one store. It probably will sell 100k in Japan, just like the original sold….

This game had the potential to be an overnight success in the West. It was that hyped. It still is, just not as much.. The excitement for this game has peaked already, and they will never be able to get that momentum back. They used up all the momentum for Japan. It will still do well in the west, just not as well as it would have if Monolith had focused on the western release, as opposed to the Japanese release…

        Lesson learned…. hopefully.

    1. It will sell ok in the West. Probably 700-800k. But it would have sold much better if Monolith released it in the west first, while the hype was peaked…

  18. Dumb fucks its at number 4 on the charts that isn’t bad it may not be number 1 but 4 out of 20 isn’t that bad still selling good just not number 1 not a big deal idiots

    1. Uhh, NO. We’re not dumbfucks, because number four on Japans list is not that good. And if it’s number four it’s opening week, it will only drop the next week…Im not going to repeat what I’ve already said three times.. Read one of my other posts and maybe you will understand…

  19. Japan is full of a bunch of slanty eyed retards. They are missing out on one of the best games of this generation.

    1. tsutaya is a video rental shop. it barely sells games. this article was pushed by the wanka at duelshockers

  20. There are more Hyrule Warrior fans in Japan than Xenoblade fans. Japan has never cared for the Xenoblade series, so why the fuck did Monolith pour so much resources and time into the Japanese version?. Only they know the answer to that. Meanwhile the Xenoblade fanbase here in the west is stuck with our thumbs up our asses trying to avoid plot spoilers..

  21. tsutaya is not even a major game reatiler. my local shop often does not have games on release day and they dont do preorders

  22. A lot of people here fail to realize that Puzzles & Dragons and Dragon Quest are inherently popular franchises in Japan, which were just released alongside Xenoblade Chronicles X, and the latter taking the number four spot is very good, so it isn’t shocking at all.

Some people also say that it was lucky that it charted and it being number four is bad. Remember charts are neither always a ranking nor a good indicator of a game’s performance. If every game in the top 10 is selling 300K copies, then a new game coming out at #11 selling 280K means it’s still sold well. In this case, Puzzles & Dragons could have sold 300K, Dragon Quest sold 200K, and Xenoblade Chronicles X sold 100K. The rest are below 100K, with Xenoblade Chronicles 3D at #20 selling about 3000 copies during that week.

    1. I wish that was the case. I really do. But odds are Xenblade probably sold around 30-40k. And will probably only sell arounf 100k lifetime… Like I said, there are just not that many Xenoblade fans in Japan. Never has been.

I hope Im proven wrong though.. I really want Xenoblade to be successful. I am so hard on it because it will potentionally be my favorite game of 2015. I just hate the way Monolith and Nintendo have handled it’s marketing and release. Very amateurish to be honest….

i keep wondering who the heck keeps buying a 3ds…….isn’t one enough for someone
