Take A Look At The New Cel-Shaded, M-Rated, FPS Wii U Title

UPDATE: Turns out the game may not be a Wii U Exclusive after all — within the YouTube video there is a series of code. After decoding (Spoiler: In Base64) it says the following:

multiplatform release

and

SECRET PROJECT is a multiplatform title to be released in the year 2016. It will feature several themes in which you can build stages with, 8+ characters to play with, online and local multiplayer, items to enhance or disrupt the battleground and the players, and much more.

Very little is known about NAMI TENTOU MUSHI’s upcoming Wii U game… including the title. NAMI TENTOU MUSHI, the team of 5 who were previously responsible for Ping 1.5+ on the Wii U eShop has decided to take a radical shift in direction, releasing an M-rated, cel-shaded first-person shooter. The game, tentatively titled “#SECRETPROJECT” was detailed by Christopher Fidel to Nintendo Enthusiast.

The game is looking to incorporate 16 player online action as well as 5 person local multiplayer. The game will feature a mode to create your own levels to extend the playability of the title, 8 different characters to choose from (with differing personalities and weapon sets), as well as over the top gameplay. If this sounds familiar, the project is heavily influenced by Suda51’s projects.

        1. Then what’s so funny? It’s not like they said the developer’s name is unknown just to put it afterwards. Or do you think the name is going to be called Secret Project?

    1. And it’s suppose to be an FPS game? Not to mention a Wii U game which looks like crap by HD standards. Wii most prettiest games put this to shame a thousand times over.

  1. in the end….oh! Wii U can’t run this game. only 23 fps. not Wii U this time. sorry.
    So…not for Wii U.

  2. Suda51 had some interesting stuff going on. I loved Killer 7 from GameCube, great game. Wii U could have used a crazy off the wall game from his studios, its sad. But hey, any FPS action for Nintendo systems is a good thing. Hopefully its creative and has options. Another good game that comes to mind is XIII from GameCube ( I think that’s the name ).

  3. Cel-shading? What?
I think the bug MAYBE had a bit of cel-shading on it, but everything else? It looks like an end-of-quarter project for an animation student during his first year of art college. Aka, like an untextured, poorly modeled, and terribly lit piece of garbage.

  4. This is by a guy and his friends out of small town Albany, OR. Don’t expect it to be phenomenal. Ping 1.5+ and Ping 2 were OK games, this is his first full 3D game he’s working on.
