Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Features On Game Informer Cover

The next edition of US publication Game Informer has two of the biggest games of E3 2016 on its cover. Artist Alex Griendling has created two unique covers, one features Kratos from the God of War franchise on the PlayStation and the second cover is for Link in the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. You can check out both covers, below.

          1. It’s intentional, if you look closely the added a symbol for every major game they are covering in the issue, also the reason why Link has the symbol of Kratos and viceversa it’s because of that.

  1. I know that it’s stylized, but I really don’t care much for how they did Link, especially his chin and lip area. They did a better job with Kratos.

    1. No you dont. Here’s the deal: Game Informer is biased as funk. This is probably the first Nintendo game in a year and a half to have cover art on game Informer, and he didn’t even get an exclusive cover. He had to share it with Kratos, and they put no thought into it. He’s wearing a hat? Not in the game. GI has really let me down over the last few years as a Nintendo fan, covering like one or (if I’m lucky) two Wii U games an issue. There were several issues with no Wii U reviews or previews, I literally opened the magazine up and find nothing that concerns me as a gamer. I will never go back. I know it’s been a rough couple years for the Wii U but GI perpetuated that problem by intentionally ignoring the Wii U marketshare. They only want to cover shifty call of duty games.

      1. Fair point, but there hasn’t exactly been enough Wii U games for them to cover more than two per issue. I haven’t personally read GI, but I have read similar gaming magazines and quite a lot are like that. On the subject of gaming magazines, 110% Gaming is worthless. Only a couple of pages are actually about gaming, and even then it’s only FIFA and Minecraft that are spoken about in any reasonable detail. That’s why I come to MNN (pay me please) and other websites for news. If news happens, people talk about it, despite how brief the story may be.

        1. As a long time reader of that publication, I can without a doubt say that they intentionally turned their backs on Nintendo, regardless of the Wii u’still situation. There were still great games for Wii U. Why couldn’t Mario kart 8, or smash bros, or Splatoon get a cover story? Because they would rather give it to watchdogs, gears of War, God of war, call of duty, assassin’s creed, or uncharted. Seriously every cover story during the good days of the Wii U’still life cycle was a Sony or microsoft exclusive. No acknowledgemention of the good software to come to the platform.

          1. You’re smartphone’s auto-correct is terrible. “u’still” “acknowledgemention” lol I’m surprised it didn’t try to “correct” Splatoon too.

      2. Nintendo has the ability to push out more games and more content. Its not GI’s fault that Nintendo has to play catch up. You should be happy there was anything to even review.
