While some fans continue to demand a Super Mario Sunshine remake, one modder has decided to take matters into his own hands. YouTube user Mk7tester has recreated the level Bianco Hills in Super Mario 3D Land. The 3DS platformer’s levels were much more linear than its GameCube cousin, so it’s surprising that the stage seems to run so smoothly. According to the modder, he had to simplify many of the original game’s textures and models to achieve this. Check out the video below.
Modder Recreates Super Mario Sunshine Level In Super Mario 3D Land

Mario 3D Land would have been 75% better if its levels were designed like this- I might not have gotten bored with it so quickly then.
Watching this makes me want to play 3D Land again. Really liked it my first time through. But.. I think I’ll just continue playing through Dark Souls 3 again lol.
I haven’t played dark souls 3 in awhile usually once I beat souls games I don’t come back to them until years later.
Dry Bones weren’t there… but Sunshine was a hell fun of a game.
Yeesh i HATE cameras that don’t focus. Other than that great mod.
I wish I could get into the 3D land series. To me it felt like the galaxy games but watered down.
Extremely watered down. The Galaxy games are bursting with creativity and great level design. 3D Land and 3D World felt like a step back.
3D Land and World are bursting with creativity and great level design. Especially 3D World. There’s a huge amount of variety in level design and ideas going on, as much as either of the Galaxy games.
I agree with this completely. In fact, I loved the Galaxy games, but I never 100% either one of them. For some reason I had the urge to 100% both 3d Land and 3d World. Have to say, getting 100% on 3d World was some of the most fun I have ever had with a Mario game. With the exception of Mario 64 of course.
Why can’t I play this game instead?!
Come on, Nintendo. Your own fans are making the games you should be making.
my brain froze….this is amazing!!
Damn! was this shot with a potato?
