Pokkén Tournament DX For Nintendo Switch Works With Wii U Controller

Has anybody here used them before? If so, what did you think? I wanna get Pokken DX for my switch and the special controllers are currently only $10 at gamestop. I might nab one if it’s worth it.
yeah if you have enough. if not, then sell one of your games.
I have one, it’s cool if you want the authentic controller from the arcade, I personally prefer using a wireless controller though. But $10 is a really good deal.
Thanks for the feedback! I might just go for it since it’s so cheap XD Plus I play with my friends a lot, so I could use the pokken pad and they could use the grip so we both have “normal” controllers instead of the individual joycons.
well good thing i kept my pro controller
oh wait you mean that special controller. bahh…
Slightly misleading title here…
I don’t mind getting the switch version of Pokken Tournament. it has more characters they didn’t appear in the Wii U version. I was right all this time. this game did get a enhanced port XD
My YouTube channel is coming…
Won’t be much longer nger now…
Glad they are supporting em! I already had the Pikachu one. And picked up the regular one last week. Now this is a port Ill most likely get.
This does suggest that controller backwards compatibility is possible. Which is good news
Yeah but it will only work in dock mode since it needs a USB connection.
Oh damn, didn’t think about that!
Still a good sign. Means that the Switch in docked mode could theoretically be compatible with the GameCube controller adapter and Wii U pro controller since they both use USB connections
The “big” question is: Can we finally use two of them at once? Since on Wii U you had to have one Gamepad in multiplayer.
The summer preview shows two people playing in TV mode with split screen, so I’m thinking the answer is yes.
Even though spitscreen was an option back on U, it didn’t work. But I srs don’t care xD The Pokkén controller was meh and the game even more… meh-ier
I don’t recall split screen being an option, you were forced to use the game pad as your second screen for local vs battles.
Yeah, maybe that was it. I have suppressed my memories of that game because it was so unbalanced.
lol charizard was so brutal, I thought the game was fun but I got bored after about a month. I think the 3 vs 3 battles will make the game a lot better though, so I’m looking forward to giving it a go again.
