Originally slated for the Wii U but ultimately getting cancelled, 90s Arcade Racer is heading to Nintendo Switch instead. Now known as ’90s Super GP, the title is listed on Nicalis’ website with a TBC date so we’ll have to wait and see if the game manages to launch this time around.

Here are some details about ’90s Super GP from the official website:

  • Intense stock car, supercar and formula racing in the style of the best arcade racers of the 1990s
  • Bright colors, crazy track layouts and dance music evoke the golden era of arcade racing games
  • Finely tuned driving physics with precision handling and old-school drifting
  • 12 unique vehicles with different attributes and customizable colors
  • Six dynamic and shortcut-filled courses, three of which have “Long” and “Short” variations
  • Arcade mode for quick races in any unlocked vehicle on any unlocked course
  • Championship mode with four circuits in each of the stock, supercar and formula racing classes

  1. Just when I thought I had lost hope that an arcade style racing game won’t be coming to a Nintendo system… it wasn’t until NICALIS and Pelikan13 announce that 90’s Super GP is coming to the Switch. When I get the Nintendo Switch soon, I’m gonna fly… sky high!!!!!

    1. It was supposed to be released for the Wii U. But despite the issues, Pelikan13 have decided to make this game for the Nintendo Switch instead. In fact, this game was formerly known as The 90’s Arcade Racer. Right now, it’s called 90’s Super GP.

  2. Finally! Nicalis! I can stop hounding you to the ends of the earth! If you don’t know what 90’s Arcade Racer was supposed to be, look up its Kickstarter video on Youtube. I have been very much looking forward to this game for years!
