The latest European Splatfest wrapped up earlier today, October 8, in Splatoon 2. The in-game event pitted Team Front Roll against Team Back Roll – players who think toilet paper rolls should hang in front versus those who prefer them hanging behind. According to the final tally, Front Roll came out on top due to having the majority of total votes and number of solo wins. You try living with a back roll person and having to correct it every single time you go in.
So the popular pick was also the team that won? How many times has this happened over the history of Splatoon 1 & 2?
I cannot say for Splatoon, because I did not play it (stupid me, I know). But for Splatoon 2, I can recall that Ice Cream beat Cake and it was more popular. Mayo beat Ketchup, even though it was drastically under-voted (similar to this toilet paper thing, I think). Flight bested Invisibility and was SLIGHTLY more popular. Now the toilet paper roll, but we havent has ours here in NA yet (Vamps vs Werewolves). Far as I can tell it has been fairly even, but because popularity is one of the criteria, it surely plays a roll (pun was not originally intended, but then when I saw it written there I thought it looked awesome). ;)
So Marina fans, how rigged was it this time?
